Hello all, I just wanted to inform the person who wanted to know if it was worth waiting for a fill. Well lets just say that I had my sgy on July 12/2005 and I got my very first fill 7 months after, on 2/17/2006. Keep in mind my starting wt was 247 lbs and time of my first fill I was down to 187 lbs. I just got my second fill on 5/11/06 and my wt before was 172 wt after a couple of days I lost 6 lbs present wt is now 164 lb. You see its not really what people say when should you get your fill. It all comes down to when YOU feell When you should get a fill. Listen to your body and be good to it. I hope this help and hope that I inspired someone today with this. :clap2: God Bless ps With thru all my weight loss I never EXERCISED onced. I know you have to work with your band but with my life syle I was quiet busy and getting in natural exercise like lifing boxes, walking up & down stairs, walking back & fourth cleaning, etc. Know I'm in the process of joining a gym to stay healthy and to work up a good cardio exercise to keep my body fit, trim and healthy. :dance:

Hello all, It's been several months that I've been on the site. Had problems with computer and then need to have it fixed. I sinced then had my second fill on 5/11/06 in New York, NY I had my surgery on July 12,2005 and had my very first fill 7 months after in Tacoma, WA. Before surger I was closed to 250 lbs now after my second fill I weigh 164 lb. I am very happy and had no complications Praise God my Father!!!! my goal wt is to get to 125 - 130 lb. I have 34-39 lbs to be at Goal!!!! However I need a TT My stomach hangs and have sooooooo many stretch marks. Thanks for listening guys/gals. God Bless and talked to you real soon. I'm too am looking to have a TT in the near future. Also what was the cost for it. Do you know why some doctors won't do a TT on patients who has the Lapband.

Hi everyone It's been months since I wrote to you gals/guys. I had my surgery on July 12, 2005 and and did not have a fill yet I lost 45lbs and I think its about time that I have my first Fill. I want to go back to Monterrey,Mexico where I had my surgery done with Dr. Rumbaut. I would like your feed back. I been doing fine and great I did not see any doctors for after care yet. Do you think that might be a problem.

Hello everyone its been awhile since I visited the site. As you might not remember I've been banded on July 12, 2005 in Monterrey, Mexico with Dr Rumbaut. The first couple of weeks I've been depress and scared. At first I said What Have I done. I was in pain for quiet some time but I got stronger as the days went by. As far as exercising I have not done any excersise at all. I lost 27lbs the first 3 to 4 weeks which I was very happy. Right now I'm a little past my 6 week for a fill. So I'm planning on going back to Mexico to get my first fill. I know that I need to start exercise more but lately I've been sluggish due to my pottassium is low so the doctor has me taking 15ml of K+ daily to get my K+ up.

Hello everyone, I just want to let you know how my progress is going as you know I got banded on July 12, 2005 and before sgy I weigh 240 lbs two weeks later I lost 30 lbs and still losing. I can't believe it. know I weigh this week 210 maybe less than that. I know on day 2 for the mushies phase. I love reading everybody replys and hope to hear from you all. God Bless

Hello to all of you. I'm fairly new and I too got banded on July 12, in Monterrey, Mexico. So today I am on the mushie phase. I had cottage cheese with apple butter. I didn't finish it because I was afraid of not knowing when I would be full.

Hello Brenda, I just got back this morning from Monterrey, Mexico. I had a wonderful exprience down there. It was truely amazing jouney. The people down there and at the hotel were truely professional and have excellent customer services. I had my surgery on July 12, 2005 and everything went very well. I had my friend accompaning me there. Dr. Rumbaut is truely a wonderful and amazing doctor not only he is a wonderful person. I felt very comfortable meeting and talking with Dr. Rumbaut and his staff. I can't say anything bad about my experience in Monterrey, Mexico.

Goodmornig all. I just wanted to tell you today is my day I'm going to Monterrey, Mexico. Wish me Luck and Success with getting banded. My surgery is July 12, 2005 but I'm leaving July 10 so that I can get settle in comfortablly. My bestfriend is going with me. Hope to hear from you all when I get back. Luv ya and God Bless.

I can definetly relate to what you are going threw. I too am having the same problem as you. My surgery is schedulal on July 12, 2005 in Monterrey, Mexico. I told my mother and some family members and they all had discouraging comments to make about me having surgery and going to another country to have it done. None of my family members will go with me to Mexico. But your know what? I prayed and ask God to help me and guess what? I have one of my closest friend who's going with me. It came as such an surprise. Not only she's one of my best friend she's like a sister to me. What's funny is at the time I didn't really want to go by myself but can't speak spanish not that well, but my friend whose accommanying me is spanish. Isn't God wonderful. I just wanted to give you an insight to you if you believe and trust the Lord no man or no one or thing can stand in your way, because Jesus already has taken care of ALL of your needs. I face many ugly attitudes and words from my family still. Whats hurt the most I thought family is suppose to be their when you need them but I figure out my friend who isn't blood related to me is the only one who is there for me. All may fail but Jesus is always there. I will pray for you and I know your not alone you have all of us here and you have the Lord. I know and believe that everything is going to be alright for you. All you have to do is trust and believe in God and in yourself. You only have one body so your doing the right thing to take care of it because our body is the temple of God and I know that God doesn't what you to suffer with your weight or what ever health problems you may have so I know you are making the right choice for having the surgery in the near furture. Again all your family members will feel bad and eat their words once they see you living and being happy when you are losing weight and living life the fullest.

Hello everyone I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to you all I'm 32 years old almost 33 in July 21. and I am a mother of two daughters ages 7 and 8. They are my life. I will be having my surgery on July 12, in Monterrey Mexico with Dr. Rumbaut. I've been heavy as long as I could remember at one time I've lost 59.lbs with LA Weight Loss which brought me down to 165 from 219 As you know I've gain it all back and more. My weight as of today is 245 lbs So now I decided that it is time for me to take extream measures to do something about my weight.

I'm a little nervous I totally need all your support. I don't have no support with my family because they said that I should not go out of the country to get it done, but my insurance doens't cover it. None of my family members wounldn't go with me but I do have my girlfriend who is going with me for support God Bless her.

Hello shoshanna, I too am having my surgery in Monterrey, Mexico with Dr. Rumbaut. My surgery date is schedule for July 12 but I will be leaving on July 10 just to be a day early for my pre op testing. I hope to see you there if so lets say hello and introduce our self to one another. My bestfriend will be coming along with me to keep me company.

Hello, I'm new at all this. I just wanted to know what was said about the doctors in Mexico who peforms the lap band. The reason why is that I am schedule to go to Mexico on July 11, 2005 to get my band. I would truely appreciated if some one could fill me in about what was said in People Mag.
