I saw a hematologist while In the hospital for the surgery and he was the one who actually suggested the mini pill to me.

It's double checking what the recommended portion sizes are. I believe it's 1/4 cup for veggies and carbs but can someone remind me the ounces for meats please.

I am exercising and my stall has been about 2 weeks now. I'm only 7 weeks out so fasting and a pouch test are pretty much out of the question. I haven't been doing measurements but maybe I should start trying that when the scale isn't reflecting change.

A there anything I can do to jump start a stall besides wait it out? I'm getting in all of my protein and liquids but this stall feels like it has been forever long! Getting frustrated.

I also went on the BA site and got a compete sample pack. I am going to check the site and see if they off samples as well. Definitely don't want to spend money on something that tastes terrible and am stuck with it for a month. -

Well I was cleared for salad at 6 weeks. I started with lettuce and meat. Every time I do a salad now I add a veggie to make sure I am still "good" to eat it. Now up to meat, lettuce, cheese and tomato.

My Dr office only sells the Carmel and chocolate peanut butter ones. I got the Carmel. MUCH better than the chewable wild cherry. Those were disgusting! -

My thoughts exactly. I buy the BA multi vitamin already because it includes all the extra vitamin requirements for the day. It's a little pricey but then again I don't have to buy individual vitamins either to add to it. Just have to compare the price to the convenience. -

My office sells the BA as well but not sure of the cost for the chews. I have to do the 500mg 3 times a day so will have to find out the price to see what is a better deal. -

Thanks for the info. Will definitely look into it and compare prices. I have to take them 3 times a day so cheaper will be nicer for sure. -

Bariatric advantage chew bites

The Carmel chews are the ones I wanted to switch to at my 6 week appt but my Dr office recommends I stay on the chewable (wild cherry) ones that taste like chalk till I am 3 months post op. They said something like they are worried the chew bites since they are like taffy are a choking hazard. Just can't understand if I am now cleared for regular food why they are so worried about me using a calcium chew. I really want to switch. Just wanted to see if anyone else was told the same. -
Does anyone use the bariatric advantage calcium chew bites? If so how far out were you using them? I am now 6 weeks out using the chewable which I can't stand. I am being told by my Dr the chew bites are recommended for over 3 months out. Not sure if I can do another 6 weeks of the nasty chewable.

I've tried drinking slower and also adding some fruit to it thinking if it had a different taste I may be able to tolerate it a bit more. Not such luck.
