I am sorry you are going through this. Just try to remember that you did not go through this surgery for nothing. Maybe that will help keep you motivated. Losing 50lbs is an awesome accomplishment. You can do this. Did you go through your insurance, or was this self pay? If through your insurance, maybe they will approve you getting rebanded?

I'm going to make an appointment if I don't loosen up in a couple of days. My last unfill was in March, I think. They had to place 5cc during surgery because the band was too big, so maybe I'll just go back down to 5cc.

Hello! About to be Banded in TX
*JASMINE* replied to ercole's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Thanks so much for the info, Coach Cher. -
I'm glad you are feeling better now. How much of an unfill did you have? And how many CCs are left in your band? I recently had an unfill of 2cc. I went from 9.5 to 7.5. I think I'm going to have to get another unfill, as I've been feeling a lot tighter lately. I'm thinking of having a total unfill this time.

Yes, it truly is a head game. Don't feel like a failure. It's just the beginning for you. Remember, you control the food, it does not control YOU. If you like Taco Bell, try eating their chicken salad bowls, take out the tortilla strips and don't add the dressing. This is a healthy alternative. And don't beat yourself up about it. Every day is a fresh one. You can start over again.

Hi ercole, I'm in Grand Prairie. As long as you mentally commit, you should be just fine. Good luck on your surgery and keep us posted on how your liquid diet is going. It will be hard, but you can do it. Coach Cher-Do you have a thread for the convention? I sure would like to read more about it. Is it just for the newly banded? -
Are there any low bmi's who talk often?
*JASMINE* replied to annestoy's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hi All, I started out as a lower BMI. I also had to self pay because of it. Well, just wanted to say hello. -
Hi Stephanie, I'm here if you need me. When will you be banded?

Good Morning All, Well to start off, no I'm not a troll. I've been a member since 2005, if I was a troll, wouldn't I have started up some mess earlier on? I guess I could say my behavior last night was fueled by 3 years of taking the higher road and moving on. I will do that now. Not to say I can't take the heat. I definitely can. But in saying something, I became exactly the type of poster that I dislike. For that, I truly am sorry. I will not appologize for the rest. I meant it. But I will try to not feed into this anymore. Have a good day, everyone.

Well, I'm "itching" with excitement for you next post, but I do have to call it a night. Gots to go live my life, you know. Good night.
-
Oh, don't you worry, I will not think of you once after I close down my computer. You will not change a damn thing in my life, either. If you are not bothered by what I say, why keep on responding. Obviously it DOES bother you.
-
Oh please, who's playing the victim, now. No I wouldn't dream of closing this part, then what ever would you do with yourself? I see how simple it is. And I bet this is the first time you have ever mentioned it:rolleyes:.

And you know what? I am so tired of this RnR disclaimer that seems to be an easy way of saying "I can be the biggest bitch ever, and it's ok because we are in RnR". There is still an amount of class and maturity that should be involved in ANY PART of this site.

I'm sure that Alex did not start this forum with the intention of watching a bunch of women being nasty and bitching about other members.

I didn't know we chased away Laurend. She was posting on this thread last night:confused:. Look, I've been successfull, too. I've fallen off the wagon and am in the process of dusting myself off. I busted my butt, too. Just like a reformed smoker, there is nothing worse than a reformed fatty. Even when I was at my best, I still had some class about it. What does it matter if we are still offering support for people not doing it OUR WAY? If these types of people offend you, just move on. Don't start a whole thread to knock them down even more. They will find their way, eventually.

Does anyone else have this problem? Whenever I don't dream, I wake up with so much energy. But when I DO have one, I wake up exhausted. I have a sleep number bed, so it can't be that. So what gives?:Angel_anim:
-
Why, thank you. I feel like that alien sometimes. But today, I am feeling better. You should change your avatar. Replace it with a smiling face:redface:.

Hi MaireCA, Were you able to get a hold of your doctor? How did that go? It could be a bout of Gastritis. I feel nauseous whenever I have it. How are you feeling now?
-
Welcome! I would suggest that you head over to the mental health section and post a thread about how you are coping with food. And congratulations on that 5lb loss. You are on your way!!
-
Hi JKaye, I would suggest you look in the complications section. From my understanding, some doctors recommend that you go on liquids for a while to shrink your pouch. What did your doctor suggest when you were in?
-
Hi Kbott, I had a lower BMI, too. The reason I chose to get it, instead of waiting for problems to arise, is more of a prevention measure. I didn't want to wait until I developed diabetes, heart disease, and joint pain before having it done. The good- weightloss, healthier life, less hunger, happiness The bad-this is not a cure to all of your weight problems. It takes A LOT of work. There are possible complications and financial burden. It's only a tool to aid you. You will still have to eat healthy and exercise. As long as you go into it knowing that you will have to do some work on your part, I think everything will go well for you. Good luck on whatever you decide:).

Thanks for the info Plain. I think I'm going to have a much harder time keeping that journal. A lot of times, I wake up in the middle of my dream. When I wake up, I remember I was dreaming, but when I have time to fully wake up and process what I remember, I draw a blank. I used to sleepwalk A LOT when I was a kid. It was very scary for my family members. I guess it runs in my family because my son does it, too. I still sometimes sleepwalk to the kitchen to have a midnight snack. The only thing that alerts me that I have done so, are crumbs and empty containers/wrappers left on the counters:).

Well, goodnight ladies. Will be back in the morning. Happy, or should I say, civil posting to all. I'm out for the night.

Laurend-I'm sorry, but my mind is drawing a blank. Which thread in the RnR section inspired this thread? No, she would not tell someone to get off of their asses and exercise in the support forums. She would just complain about it in the RnR section. I understand that. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on her intent. We're not in her mind. We'll never know what motivated her to start this thread, despite what she is saying now. And no, I am not trying to be ugly. I truly am curious about that thread in RnR that inspired her to start this one.???
