I sure wish we could find a way to prevent the psychos from returning with new ID's. This one comes back as male, female, religious, agnostic, newbie, experienced, nurse, techie, non-technical old lady, etc. But you know what - we always figure her out because she can't hide her true nature. And yeah I need to be around other WLS people too - it keeps me accountable. And I was sure that you said the sky was made of pink cotton candy....

Happy New Year! I will be enjoying my Last Supper tonight, as I plan to get back on track tomorrow. I am so thankful for the band which allowed me to enjoy the holidays without getting into too much trouble.

Denise, you are right. Years and years ago, in a prior and horrible marriage, I filed bankruptcy. I NEVER want to go there again! Life is good in so many ways now and I need to be cautious and keep it that way. Thanks!

Ya know, it's possible that I am hitting that wall. My husband hasn't touched alcohol in over 11 years, so I don't drink anymore except on the rare occasion with dinner out. So that is a blessing for me, because I could easily see myself going down that path. I likely will do the therapy and learn some tools for focusing in a positive direction. I think it's time for me to start wearing some of those clothes in closet, instead of the sweats and junk at home. Hubby might even like it! I am so thankful for support forums - you guys understand where my hubby could not. He is a super fit, health nut, who has it all together. And he loves me anyway - woohoo!

This has been the oddest season for me, as every store or mall I go to has been packed. Yet someone pulls out of the first parking spot as I drive up. It has been really nice! Guess I was meant to shop!

You aren't a bad daughter! It's times like this when we become adults on our own right. Sad to me, as it is easier to be the child sometimes. But adulthood opens our eyes, and I've found it continues to happen throughout our lives. Just accept that you have matured beyond your mom - that is what I have done. Sad but true.

Dear Hollywood writers: Thanks for holiday gift of stopping work on our favorite shows. Unlike you, most of us don't have an option of striking and just not working for an undetermined amount of time. For many of us, work is long and stressful, particularly at this time of the year. A relaxing evening watching our favorite shows goes a long way toward relieving that stress. The networks already screw us over by not allowing new shows a year or two to gain an appropriate audience. So we get attached quickly and look forward to seeing the next episode. It can be a family activity, and then we go online and chat with our virtual friends about the shows. Thanks for nothing, writers. I hope you get all the pennies you are fighting for so that I can see Grey's Anatomy, House, and Heroes again soon. And if Moonlight gets canceled because of the strike, and not having time to build an audience; well you would have taken the sexiest man off TV. Women watch Moonlight, get all warm inside, and then hubby gets a treat that night. So you are even interfering with our sex lives. Get back to work!!! Sincerely, Me

Well then I guess my speed reading is a handicap, because it is incredibly difficult to read all lower or all upper case posts. Or posts with no paragraph breaks, or natural breaks. I read by the paragraph or by the page, and some posts are impossible for me to read without going word for word. By the way, I read about 5 books a week, 3 newspapers, countless magazines, plus all my online chat and research. Sorry if my "handicap" is unbelievable to you. BTW - how do YOU spell unbelievable? :heh:

It is a lovely Saturday morning here in Texas. I had little to no sleep last night. All is well, I just didn't sleep. So I am relaxing now. But first my rant... I HATE politicos who call my house for any reason. I just answered a call thanking me for my loyal support of the Republican Party and our Republican Senator. So after I (nicely) went off on the guy about my tree-hugging, bleeding heart, liberal ways - the guy asks me WHY I am that way? I replied that I didn't have enough time to explain all the things I believe are wrong with the Republican Party, and the guy couldn't get off the phone fast enough. He ended by saying he was sorry that I am not a Republican. He should be sorry for intruding on my personal space! Why doesn't the No-Call list block everybody?

I am so with you on this one! I am a speed reader, and another problem for me is all caps or all lower case. If I don't have good punctuation, the right cases, and paragraphs - well it is very difficult for me to read. Thanks for bringing this up!
