BryBro, your own change of diet and habits whilst losing the weight and getting to be able to get into the habit of feeling when you are full, would probably be what would help you from regaining back. Once the balloon is gone, I am not sure how it would feel... hoping someone who has experienced this can answer this for us. For me, this type of idea is the kick start I think I could need to get me going on changes in my life. I have a lot of weight to lose, and I hope to not have to resort to surgery. I am exploring other 'kick start' ideas so as NOT to have a permanent surgical change made to my stomach. I thought perhaps trying this, then perhaps the Endobarrier after this. Although, I have read After the balloon comes out, you can have it put in again.

Here are a few things about the Obalon. www.obalon.com Be sure to watch the vid that is the 2nd pic on entry page. it is kinda funny, great. PUSH BACK! Lots of info here too. Link to Nightline Program about it, shown in USA recently; Here's their website, a great place to explore the whole idea of obalon in general, and gastric balloons in general THANKS mi75 for the tip, i will go look it up. No, they are not approved by the fda yet. I hear in 2015, possibly. But there always is the possibility of going abroad, for me. I will go look up Fat Doctor. .

Endobarrier - knifeless bypass, now in USA trials.
utahgirll replied to utahgirll's topic in Gastric Balloon Forum
VALEN TX developed in Carpenteria, CA This is another product which sounds very similar to the Endobarrier brand. I wanted to post this "like with like" hence I am posting this as a 'reply' to keep it with Endobarrier, as it sounds so similar, but is a different product. This is an abstract on a 12 month study trial. http://www.sages.org/meetings/annual-meeting/abstracts-archive/one-year-human-experience-with-a-novel-endoluminal-endoscopic-gastric-bypass-sleeve-for-morbid-obesity/ -

Surgeons in the 4,500 dollar range?
utahgirll replied to Travelmego's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Now this is like it! I LOVE having a grid ... i made one up years and years ago when i was investigating band drs in Mexico. i think it is still on the yahoo group files. i think i got a thing from dr Ponce for 4,300 or 4,600. i will look for the email. thank you for doing this. i am not quite there yet, but am investigating other methods first. will see how it goes and be sure to follow this thread. thanks again triss in utah -
New forum please? Endolumenal (by mouth) WL procedures
utahgirll replied to utahgirll's topic in Website Assistance & Suggestions
Aargh, I mean ALEX. sorry -
thx for you response, dee, i will go try to find your pix. after reading your comments i went and looked at your doctor's work on his website and saved it to my pinterest board for mexican doctors/surgery. i do like his work. if you don't mind me asking, or you don't think its rude, may i ask what a good price is for a body lift? at this point in time i am looking seriously at trying one LAST time to lose weight without really changing the shape of my stomach... things like endobarrier and the obalon endolumenal baloon. also there are some new meds coming down the line. I finally came to decide on a sleeve and then started reading doctors reports about it, you know the clinical studies. i reallly want to try b4 i go there. its hard... really. to come to the decision, search for a mexican doctor, and then read the studies. there are very high rates of suicide for wls folks after they start to put the weight back on.. and i tend to float close to the depression line in daily life. so its going to be a first try with the milder forms of wl, like meds, and actually i think the endobarrier looks very promising. i may get that in Mexico or europe since they are doing that there now. and may try that for a while, then try a balloon for a while.. and see where that gets me. I also thought about some plastics, like these body sculpting and cold laser reshaping, so hopefully your doc does that too. i appreciate your suggestions and i am sorry your journey took a tough step with the first wrong doctor. my problem is that i errr, research TOOOO much. i've been looking at wls for like 8 years now. i am glad i waited, as there are more things out there now. i was going to get a band, glad i did not. anyhoo, thanks again.

I would sure like to talk to someone who has had this. I am exploring non surgical, or less invasive type procedures and am very interested in Endobarrier. It is being used in Australia and Europe now, and is being tested here in the USA. if any of you are interested, and have not taken the surgery step yet, you can sign up for the trials now. This looks to be quite a safe procedure, and also is being used to stave off Type 2 Diabetes. Unfortunately, there are no trials near me, and I even investigated costs of flying to LA to the nearest hospital for me, but it wasn't financially feasible. If you have had this, please reply to how it worked out for you? best, triss in utah

Welcome to the NEW weight loss medications forum!
utahgirll replied to Alex Brecher's topic in GLP-1 & Other Weight Loss Medications (NEW!)
Thank you for this topic. I am looking into a lot of ideas, including meds, before venturing into permanent surgery. So I appreciate your listing of the meds. I am collecting articles about these meds in my pinterest and hope to have some ideas of what meds might work for me. best, triss in utah -
Hello Dee, I think that's your name. Thank you so much for talking about this here. IF I go forward with this operation, I really must know of a PS that is good. I know it will be in Mexico, so again, thank you for sharing. It is much appreciated. I actually started looking at PSs in South Korea, after seeing a thing on tv a short while ago, and looking at some pretty AMAZING before and afters online (like, hundreds of them). So happy yours turned out great. Keep us posted. best, triss in utah

utahgirll replied to Nina51's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
hi there, my first post! I am 61 and have been researching wls for over 8 years, at least. i am so glad i waited,as now there are more options than before, that seem possible and more what i am interested in. i am very interested in vsg and would love to be in touch with you, nina51, in order to keep posted on your journey. I have decided to go to Mexico, but my main issue will be coverage after care, as at this moment i am uninsured and i think this would be very important before i go. i wish you all the best with your surgery... where will you go for your surgery and is it covered by your insurance? please keep posting here, as I really want to hear your story. triss in utah
