I've been slowly getting the bottles of Premire Protien 30 grams Protien from SAMs club. I also have Ungery in chocolate and plain also the chicken one. Also bought a sample pack from them so I'm set with drinks. Oh for my liquid 2 weeks I have slimfast also. They haven't said anything about a 2 week liquid diet but I hear so many that I figured I'd stock up. Then what I don't like after surgery my fiancé will drink lol. Have a great day ladies

Welcome home, thanks for the info it's really helpful. Did you just wear the hospital gown? I have a 2 night stay when I get mine done so I'm just wondering. Do they keep the IV in you the whole time? Take care -
Morning LainieG, I'm doing great this morning, have my surgery date of Oct 27th and almost done with prerequisites. I have a EKG and stress test on Tuesday. Last weigh in on Oct 10th, so I'm flying high right now. So how is your day...

I too have sleep apnea and suppose to use a CPAP machine. I can't! I've tried and tried just can't handle it on my face, suffocating , can't breathe... I'm on 2 ltr of O2 at night, during the day as needed. The pulmonary dr is hoping the surgery will help with the sleep apnea. I also have COPD cronic asthma. I don't know what to tell you, but try again, maybe with the surgery you will lose the weight and not have the sleep apnea anymore. Good luck whatever you do.

My coordinator said so, so I called Medicare myself and they also said no prior approval was needed. Just have to go through the steps of the 6 NUT appointments, I had to be under a drs care for that. Then the other visits, pulmonary, cardiac, psyc, exercise clinic I needed a pass from them also. As she put it we need all our ducks in a row if they want the papers after surgery. You don't even send in the paper work unless they ask for it. If no major problems then BMI of 40 I believe, 35 with . Good luck too you

Here's hoping your ins approval comes in fast. I'm on medicare and don't need prior approval. They send all the reports in with the bill, they did say they've never been denied and wouldn't say I could go if they new any different. I talked to my ins also and they said no referral is needed. So mine is set for Oct 27. I know time will fly by, it has through my 6 month weight lost appointments. . -
Excercise and asthma after surgery?
#9grammy replied to Wallflower7522's topic in Fitness & Exercise
Hi, I have had asthma since the age of 16. I'm on 3 pills for it and 2 inhalers plus a rescue inhaler. I've been told before I do anything strenuous to use the rescue inhaler first. This includes housework! I also use it before walking on the treadmill. If they haven't ordered you an inhaler they do have some over the counter ones, try a puff wait 15 min then exercise. Or go back to your dr and tell them you need something before you exercise because your sob when you do it. I'd probably go with the dr first. -
How exciting, are you on your pre diet now? I still have a little ways to go, time is flying by.

Done with endoscopy... one more weighin to go!
#9grammy replied to jessiquoi's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
WHOOHOO, happy for you. -
I'm taking Biotin, can get it at Walmart. I take 2 every day since I started this journey back. In May. I'm really hoping it works, plus I take 2 Flinstone with iron vitamins everyday. My hairdresser recommend the biotin and to start on it soon because it takes a few months to get it going in your system. My hair grows faster, still have normal hair loss after shampooing, but I have to color sooner also
