Terrified of PBing and being stuck...
jelbel replied to sheila227's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
:thumbup:Hello Sheila, A PB is not like vomiting. You just cough it up in the toilet and some slime comes out. It doesn't taste yucky, because it hasn't been through the stomach yet. One trick, if your food feels stuck, but doesn't really hurt, have some hot tea or decaf coffee. Some people take these papaya pills to break up the food. They are chewable and taste yummy. When you have real restriction, on the morning your stomach can make funny noises when you drink. Anyway, everybody is different, some people never PB. Bella. -
Vankay You are my inspiration. I want to be a 10. I'm a 16 now. 3 more sizes.....

I started suffering from panic attacks about a year ago. I have my band for 6 months. Yesterday I had one beacause I drnak coffee w/ caffeine and thought I couldn't breathe. I wanted to run and get my husband, he was mowing the lawn. Instead I took Ativan ,put it under my tongue and hugged my doggie and tried to relax. It's very hard, but I feel like I can't breathe and will faint, but haven't fainted. My doggy was relaxed to, he started snoring LOL, then I was better. Only Decaf now. Jelbel. Don't remove your band..... have patience, you will look beautiful after.

New Jersey - Step One
jelbel replied to supersize2bbw's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
After you do it, you will be so happy. Who cares if you'll have a port there forever. You are young now, but your knees will start to hurt and you might have other complications. We all worry about excess skin, but what is more important? We don't worry about plastic surgery at least 2 years after. Now focus on being healthy. It's not easy, especially after the 4th filling. You have to get used to what you can eat and food can get stuck sometimes. You can do it! -

As soon as I started to exercise I started to lose weight. In the winter I was always sick with a cold, bronchitis, flu etc. It happened last year before the band too. Anyway, exercise is the key and eating healthy and don't force your stomach. -
My surgeon told me that I wouldn't have problem s taking pills. I put the pill on my tongue, about where the taste buds are and while I'm drinking, I roll my tongue to the back and the pill dissapears.

I work in a move up prgram where these people have 7 children and they are in their early twenties. They live off of welfare and from our taxes here in the US. They are supposed to go from welfare to work. Most of these girls are pregnant now and tell you that they are still not done having babies, because they are from a new boyfriend.

You have the perfect hair for layers. You can cut the length just a little bit and let them do those cool layers all over and in the back. Or you can keep the length and have some layers. Don't hide your face too much.

I'm trying this recipe tonight, because I have two sp squashes in the fridge. Just sitting there... I'll let you know.

Thanks for the aadvice, I'll check on those Levi jeans too. I've just been too sick to even wear my new clothing. I 've had bronchitis, sinus infection etc. I went from a 20 to an 18 or from an xl to a large. My op was Nov. 5/07 I also have an hourglass figure and the style&CO from Macy's pants fit me well around the waist, hips, and butt.

VENT: Does it really take THIS long???
jelbel replied to mommakatx2's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had to go through the 13 steps and it was horrible. I never had to pay a fee, though. I do have to pay $50.00 for every fill plus the co-pay. It took me 3 1/2 months to do everything and have my surgery. I will do the paper work in advance for my DH before he does his operation. -
Yes, I was banded on Nov 5/2007 I'm also very overwhelmed about losing 100 + It is going forever so slow , but exercise is the key and now I have such a cold. I have to wait. It takes some time and patience.
