I don't even know what to call this----ranting I guess.
Teresita commented on Bettina's blog entry in Bettina's Journal
read- justified After 9-11 everything and I do mean everything has changed. We thought we were safe and we found out we weren't. Hurrican Katrina also taught us and is teaching us that our own government can't-won't help it's own people as much as they would help in another country. We all have individual protest. If you get bad service at a restaurant, you may choose to no longer patronize them. It is a personal statement. I am sorry you were attacked but sometimes on the boards people are taking out their self rightousness on others. I do the same as you did, step out of the room and close the door and find someone to vent. Stand up for what you believe in. The calories and the cost are not worth it. -
I am .....I'll just say my plate is full. I feel like I don't have anything to give to anyone else right now. I feel like I am eating everything. few string beans, 2 bites of beef...golf ball 8:30am granola bar 11am brownie sundae 1:30 asian salad 2:10 cereal, fried chicken thigh5:45 grape mike and ike candy 6:30 piece of eckridge sausage and fruit 9pm Bed 12pm Again it is not a meal. I am scared to weigh in this evening. The weekend was so full I did not walk. Sat morning ran errands to begin DD hair for school. I was so tired I went to bed early. Got up early to volunteer and came home to continue to hair. Washed clothes and then she took a nap so I cooked dinner. She got up and I finished her hair but I kept going back for another piece of beef. Yesterday I do go to TTC so I am happy about that.

Kim I need the address. I will send a Wal mart gift card and if McDonalds still have the McDonald dollars, I will get that for the kids. You gotta have some kind of fun. I'm sure they will only get healthy stuff. I am sorry they lost their home but thankful they are all safe.

I am so thankful for LBT and it's members. I am thankful that I know the Lord Jesus Christ and have accepted him as my personal savior and so has my immediate family. Salvation is wonderful but just to know that he is there with you every step of the way. Through your triumps and your stuggles he is right beside you and you don't even have to pick up the phone to call him. It is awesome that as soon as you say "I am so alone" "What am I going to do" you remember that he is there at that very moment and as you begin to start praising him and just being thankful for your many blessings....you can smile through the tears. I said to my daughter yesterday, what do people do who don't know God. It has to be something else. I am thankful that I believe.

My mind is just every where today. I refuse to focus on anything, I won't even take the time to read and post what I want in others journals. I have been unfocused for about a week. It is weigh in day, I need it. I don't know how I have done but I will try to eat as little as possible today. Great work out at TTC again. He had us outside but it wasn't bad. We worked the legs and arms. It is amazing what slow steady motion can do and just holding your arms out....wow that hurt. He even had us jog, I was surprised. 5min cardio

Congratulations and Good Luck I did have the liquid diet for about a week before surgery. Although your doctor does not demand a bowel clense, I would suggest a good cleaning out before surgery. On the boards it seems to cut down on the shoulder pain gas. Be sure to have chewable gas xxtra strength on hand for when you get home. The pillow a must, my hosptial gave me pillow, thank God because it was a long bumpy ride home from Fairfax to MD.

August 17, 2006 Mix It Up! BLC Members know that variety is the spice of life when it comes to exercise. Going to the gym may have become part of your routine. But when you get there, you do your 30 minutes on the treadmill, do your weights, then do your crunches, then do your stretches...then (yawn) do it all again the next day. Don't bore yourself into quitting! As one BLC member said this week. "Any time you add to or change your workout, your body is more apt to lose weight. Basically, if you do the same thing everyday, you body gets used to it and doesn't use up as many calories. Changing your workout often keeps your body guessing...AND makes it so you don't get bored doing the same thing every day!" Other BLC members agree: "I have started to run a little, with the help of a personal trainer. I can now do a 12-minute mile--not pretty to watch, but I can do it. I am not a runner. What helps me is to warm up for about 20 minutes on the elliptical or stair master, then get on the treadmill." "I go to cycle classes, step classes, and body pump classes (weight lifting) AND yoga. Most of these classes are for beginners." Remember, the Biggest Loser Club plan is designed for immediate weight loss as well as maintenance for the long haul. You don't want to eat the same thing everyday, day after day. Why would you want to do the same exercise? Pull yourself out of your workout rut!

Goodness 8 bowling balls, I can't even imagine. Thank you for that analogy. I do feel great and I will kick my but into gear so I can get rid of another 8. I guess I will be doing backflips by then. Lord thank you for the LBT family and especially I'll Succeed. Lord thank you for hearing and answering our prayers for her recovery. Lord thank you for whippledaddy while he was on LBT. Please continue to be with and bless his family. This time is hard for all of them but with you Lord life will be a joy again and they will be able to say his name, smile and be thankful that they had the short time with him. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

My father had sever gout occasionally. Try keeping a food journal to present to your nutritionist or doctor. Cherries are good for goout or cherry juice.....not the ones in a martini glass either. I wonder if Isopure is purine rich? Whatever you do don't drink orange juice, that stuff was killer for him http://www.goutpal.com/food-for-gout.html Scoll down to see a list with their ph levels. Physical therapy can show you alot of upper body cardio exercises to do. Good Luck New Guy
