If you take whole pills before surgery be sure to see if your pills come in crushed or liquid form current can be crushed (I had a time release high blood pressure pill that was not suppose to be crused) I had to call the poison hot line Lesson Learned

No don't get on a scale yet, it is too soon. I go to my TOPS meetings to get weighed because home scales don't go high enough. You are still swollen and bloated. Give it time, maybe a week or 2 out but don't get discouraged. This is the beginning. Don't drive until you are feeling better, give it at least 3 days. I began to feel more like me on the 3d day. As far as hunger, try popsicles, crystal light watered down, light grap juice, sugar free Jello or sugar free pudding. You won't be able to finish the popsicle so don't try.

Carrie don't worry about it because I was on 4 hbp meds and now I am on 2. Thanks to loosing 40 pounds. I am sure this will be your only perscription. It is only a water pill and once you loose a little more I am sure your pressure will come down and your doctor will take you off of it.

You guys are tooooo thoughtful. It will be in the closet. My surgeon even had to reprimand the sleep study doctor. I'm lovely though, really. Thank you again.

Hi Chris, yes I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and I have already heard the speech about using it. But what some foks don't know are the exensive circumstances around the diagnosis. With that said and after seeing my internal medicine doctor, my cardiologist, me sleeping peacefully through the night except for potty breaks. I am still here and kicking without problems. I have lost 40 pounds and I sleep better then before and with every 40 pounds I loose it will get better and better but as far as my breathing and heart during sleep. Everything seems to be just fine. Chris I love you and thank you for your concern. How much have you lost and how large is your band. I have a 4cc band with 1.3cc fill.

Yes sir, did you need one or someone you know? I went through so much drama with the sleep study doctor that the company sent me a huge bouqet of flowers the day of my surgery, to apologize. I was told I HAD TO take it to the hospital for my surgery. I never used it at home or even at the hospital. The nurse checked it in and put it over on a shelf. Guess what I am still here, snooring and sleeping peacefully.

You go Judy that was great. Slow and stead all of this goes. One day and one meal at a time. LOL To piggy back off of Zoe we do have a farewell to food mindset but it really isn't. You will be able to enjoy those foods after you are healed but guess what. You are not going to want to eat so many of those foods because you will see some of them as the culprit as to why you needed surgery in the first place. It all takes time, love and prayers are with you.

Micki I'm sorry you are not feeling good. From my experience my restriction would come and go and my cycle would influence it. It does sound like something is kind of stuck and sometimes it comes out right away and sometimes it takes longer. If you could stay home you should. Unfortunately sometimes we have to wait these things out. Did you receive some tiny, disolve on your tongue, nausea pills after surgery. I don't know the name of them but I would use one of those. Of course call your doctor and stay away fro solid foods today. Warm tea and Water will probably be your best bet and just sip so you don't become dehydrated. PMS is a bi--ch Keep us informed of how you are doing. Good Luck

YEAHHHHHH KERI!!!!! Oh Keri you are going to love the mixed cocktails. Once they put it in your IV you will be in la la land and when you wake up there will be ice chips with your name on them. Ummmmmm you are going to be amazed at how good you feel after surgery, just real druggy so don't fight it and go back to sleep May God stay with you, our prayers are with you.

WOW Shirly are you able to eat and drink ok? Good Luck with your body lift. I had my first fill, I had my first fill. It wasn't thatttttt bad. He numbed it and then dove in looking for the port. It took a while but he eventually found it and I am now the proud owner of 1.3 cc's in a 4cc band.

LOL I picked up a brand new batch of that big time release pill and after it almost killed me (just kidding) the doctor told me not to take it anymore. I'm down to 3 pills since loosing weight.

Zoe this was excellent information. I go for my first fill today and I am nervous, scared and excited. My doctor is going to try to fill for the area and if he can't find it we will do floro. I had a upper gi 2 weeks ago so I think he looks at that to get an idea of where my port is and then try it. Thank you agin for all the great information.

Eli, I am sorry your are going through so much right now but you are not alone. Thry to relax and pray on all that is worrying you. God has a way of putting people in your life when you need them. You body may be trying to get rid of anesthesia in your body. You should check with your doctor and pharmacist to suggest a cough suppresant.

Coongratulations ladies on your surgery dates. DJ please don't drive, my ride home was the worst part of surgery. Riding through Wasington DC hitting on the bumps were horrible. A girlfriend of mine drove and I recently asked her was I freaking out on my way home after surgery. She told me no, I told her I was yelling and scream while hitting all the bumps all the way home. I told her I did not believe it but I was on morphine so it was all in my head. LOL It would be best to have someone with you even if you stay at the hotel. I wish I could be there for you. I think I will volunteer to be a buddy on the a few weekends at the hospital for anyone who does not have somone to be there with them. Thanks DJ
