Why am I so exicted about a dag on grocery store sale. I am tripping, I look at the paper, I go to the website, I make a list, change the list, add, to the list, call people tell them about the sale. I get to the store early to spend money on stuff because it is on sale. I don't buy stuff I don't need but I am getting on my own nerves being geeked up about a dag on Safeway Grand Re Opening Sale. Is it the thought of food or discounted food. That will be gone down the crapper in a minute. I have always liked the grocery store. It would depress me to go to the clothing store because I couldn't fit anything. But going to the grocery store was wonderful. I would say I can't fit anything in the clothing store but I can fit everything in the grocery store. Guess what that is why I can't fit anything in the clothing store. Life is Lovely

This surgery is working for me. It is slow and steady in the right direction. I started at 459 and am now 414. I lost 50 but let's say water retention and a couple of doughy items got 5 pounds on me. Good Luck in your decision.

Congratulations again, we weren't sure about the date. You will be amazed how good you feel after surgery. You will be able to get up and walk around but you need to sleep off some of the anesthesia first.

Thank You Nykee for reposting. I understand where you were and where you are. I have gotten better but I am not quiet there yet. I think I still obsess is because I have to prepare my meals. If I don't prepare my meals then I'm back at fast food. I have gotten better. I use to get the sales ads and shop at Shoppers, Safeway, Giant and WalMart to get the best deals every Saturday morning. Now I look at the Safeway and Giant paper and say ok I will get there before the sale goes off. Periodically I will get that Saturday morning urge to go and I do. I'm not even buying junk, it's food but the way I feel about it still is not in control yet. Now I know I can pass up 14 for $2. I did pay for it, I gained 3 pounds for that. Thank God I get a fill today.

I used Dr Moazzez and my insurance covered it so I don't know how much it was. I also see him for my fills and they are not painful. The anticipation is the worst part but waiting for a needle is always stressful. My sister had gb years ago and gained back a bit of her weight and she is seeing Dr. Arnez at Fairfax Hospital about getting the band. I think I got the doctors name right.

No you don't actually feel the port, it is really the incision that you are feeling. You will be able to lay on it without it hurting in a little while but you know that it is there.

Your port area will be the last scar to heal because it is the biggest. That scar will be your baby for the next 2 1/2 months. You will protect it from everything and it will let you know when it is there if you roll over on it. LOL Good Luck you are doing Great

Weightloss is going to depend on a lot of factors. The obvious factors are, your initial weight, activity, intake, and band size. The band has to be filled slowly over time to give each person their just right amout of restriction. The greatest benefit with the band is that it is a more natural slow loss and the band is adjustable. If you loose 10 pounds are you going to keep it off? With the band, you can control if you are going to keep it off. LB patients don't have malnourishment or dumping which makes a great diffrence.
