Hi Aristocate, welcome aboard. CrystalStar created this particular group that meets monthly. We have a good time and she moves the meetings around to diffrent locations trying to accomodate everyone in the group. Your local obesity centers, and lapband surgeons normally have monthly meetings.

WOW I am sorry to hear about the harsh experiences you had with weight. I never really did the weight loss groups because I saw them as a gemick. I didn't have money to throw into stuff like that. I had seen people loose weight on their own so I knew it could be done but I just wouldn't do it. I am currently a member of TOPS and have been for the past 3 years. Our chapter is excellent. TOPS over the years have changed their way of thinking and have been working on changing anything negative into positives. We have the best loser but not the biggest gainer. We are encouraged to get a buddy and call each other for support. Even the TOPS pledge has changed to reflect positivity. The last verse is We Will Take Off Pounds Sensibly. I love TOPS and because they do not desciminate against people who have had surgery it is even better. I felt guilty when I first got banded thinking I took the easy way out. They told me it is not easy no matter what. I didn't want to accept the best loser gifts and they told me I should and I deserve them. I was thinking I was going to be the best loser all the time, shot I think I was 3 times since I got the band. So this is not the easy way out, I still have to learn about nutrition, portion sizes and exercise.

No fill because I am not eating right and exercising. I'm eating easy to eat carbs, ice cream mainly because it was thoughtless eating. I don't have to slow down, chew, swallow wait. Also my sun chips, I will eat the whole bag. I didn't pb all day yesterday and it was wonderful. I have to realize I can only eat a little bit of food at a time and I have to slooowwwww down. My doctor said you need to sit down to a meal and slowly eat and that way you won't graze. I'm ok with it and I know I will have a weight lost tomorrow when I weigh in at my TOPS meeting. I have been doing a little bit of exercise here and there but I will get that together.

You go Niki, you got me over here laughing because my daughter hugs me know and says look how much farther I can get my arms around you. Before she would say look I can touch my fingers together around you. I take it in and say wait let me put arm in, ok now two arms. LOL I didn't think about it until now that she has gotten taller and her arms also may be a little longer. LOL LMBO ROTF and Carrie's IAPIMP ( I almost peed in my pants). LOL Niki the shoe thing is cool. I couldn't wear a little heel and now I'm wearing a 1 1/2 inch heel everyday and looked at some 2 1/2 inch heels the weekend. PAYLESS here I come. LOL

OMG Kare, you have me crying. Those were beautiful gifts. All of you guys have been a blessing to others.

Christine you know I will go. I recommend my doctor and facility to absolutely everyone. They are awesome and have their stuff together. I'm ready, call connie because you can have someone to sit in on your consult. My sister went with me the first time and then my buddy Linda went after that. I enjoyed myself and I would not say the service was horrible, it just could have been better. For you guys that already left, the waitress came out and told me that the check was short $10. I told her I put my in and stepped out front. I waited for the manager to come out but he didn't. She thought she was going to get the full tip. NOOOO. Maybe she will make herself available to the customers during the meal and not just at the end. I won't say anynames but C and L what did you guys do to Carrie? She should have taken pictures of your guys acting up in the store. I see we are going to have a MD LBT Social Group seperate from the MD LBT Support Meetings.

I'm back up to 412 and I will not change my ticker until it goes down further. So far I think I will get the Salmon. It won't be chicken that's for sure. It just sits in my throat for awhile before it goes down.

Well he didn't give me a fill. My weight was exactly the same as it was the last time I saw him. It was good that I didn't gain anything but I didn't loose anything either. I need to cut out the carbs bread, ice cream, chips etc. and I need to exercise. Walking is good, I just need to do it. I was down when I left his office but I have to go through that first. Now I'm ok and will get back on track.

Yesterday I did pretty good. Yogurts 2 Almonds dry life Cereal carb rite bar When I got home mashed potatoes w/cheese dinner Baked pork chop cheese tiny bit broccoli/cauliflour tny piece of corn bread 4 Cookies (they go down the easiest) powerade/water/hawaian punch

Good luck VelvetKiss that is great you have found a doctor that has more experience with higher weights. Don't stress about the weight loss. My doctor told me my liver was flopping around because I ate food food the last 2 days before my surgery but I had cut back on my eating and was doing liquids and one solid food meal a day. I just looked at it as practice for my new eating habits.

Carrie did I tell you LSasha brought me a tea bag to Ruby Tuesday's at my daughters birthday get together. LOL She didn't want me to have to pay for a tea bag. LOL She is so angelic.....:sick barf....excuse me.
