    Introduction

    Hi Nuria congratulations on your upcoming surgery date. Yeahhhhhh:clap2: I stayed for 3 weeks because I had that option but I hear of people going back a few days after surgery. I felt good at day 4 but you still have the pulling on the stomach getting up and down. Getting use a new diet, liquid at that, around other folks who may not know what is going on with your. The gas is something that you must release :guess or you will be in pain. It is amazing how gas can travel around in your body. You may feel fatigue :bored due to your new liquid diet and not being able to take in many nutrients. You may feel dehydrated from not being able to get in enough Water. Also, if you sleep on your back you will be fine but if you are a side or stomach sleep. Poor thing....get lots of pillows:notagree :faint: Pre op advice, get needed supplies ie, gas x, broth, liquid tylenol, Fiber choice, sf popsicles, beno etc. Follow your doctors advice and diet. Post op take it easy, walk, walk, walk, sip, sip, sip have a water bottle with you, everywhere you go. The hardest part, the emotions "What Have I Done" "Why haven't I lost 200 pounds yet" "Why won't the scale move" "I can't sleep on my side or my stomach, oy vey" With all that said. Good Luck

    Thank you again personal trainer Karen for calling and making me walk. I also got some more exercise that Stocky, Connie and Lsasha won't let me discuss.:guess What are you guys doing you little:angel: . Speaking of angels, where is Kee, she is MIA again.

B: Slim Fast S: Nuts L: Turkey/Cabbage Soup S: Crackers 6 D: Little piece of Salmon/whiting/1 turkey sausage w/onions D: Pudding/cool whip 2 spoons of tuna salad OK that was not dinner that was a small buffet. I didn't eat a lot but it is still not the "meal" where did my veggies go. OK new day Friday B: 1 turkey sausage w/onions B: Slimfast later L: 1 turkey sausage/yogurt S: crackers/tea D: 1 turkey sausage/salad/string Beans S: jello/cool whip

    awwww you got a boo boo and it sounds like you will live. Call your doctor, you know how much they love hearing from us, to be on the safe side. Sooooo how are you doing? How do you feel? How are the liquids coming along? How's the baby and are you picking up the baby? Do you have band gas? How's the hubby doing now that he sees you are good? :couch2:

    What he was trying to say was he just dropped a few qualudes:sing:, drank :beer:a few shots:cocktail: and smoked some pot :hat:and he was just playing doctor today. You weight loss is great. :clap2: He is looking for a "shining star patient", one he can say but "My patient Binky lost 100 pounds in her first week because I am such a great doctor" again he's been drinking and smoking. I'm sure you have heard that lap band patients lose weight slowly and it is true. You will begin to see the diffrence in your face and the way your clothes fit. The weight will come off. Keep your head up.

I have been doing a little in house walking and dancing after talking to those 2. I obviously can't talk about any other movements....hence :funnypost:

    Hey gappy, you can check out the Maryland board. 2 of the ladies went to George Washington Hospital, Dr. Brody, Dr. Brodsky. I went to Fair Oaks Hospital, I think my doctor is the best but I'm biased. LOL:) Good Luck

    What to eat???

    Hi Betje Have you checked out the food thread. There are lots of great ideas over there. From the MD threads the folks who are losing really well count their calories, continue to to have 1 or 2 protein shakes a day and stick with a high protein, low fat diet. Shake in the morning, salad w/chicken for lunch and fish and green veggie for dinner. Protein bars are good substitutes and nuts are a good snack. Good Luck and 22 kilos is nothing to sneeze at. You doing great, keep it up.
