  1. Adork-Put me down for 185. You would think I would have lost more than that only eating 200-300 calories per day since last Weds, but apparently my body is in starvation mode. Or it is because it is TOM. Or because I am drinking a ton of fluids in an attempt to not get dehydrated. Or all of the above. Sheesh. We had a friend of my husbands family pass away, and they wanted me to go eat with them just now...yep, that is not going to happen at this point, the whole eating in public thing! I don't hardly know these people, I am not going to get up from the table every 5 minutes to PB like I did the other night at Applebees! (That was what started this whole episode...) So I am going to have him bring me some soup or something and drop it off. No way am I eating in public! And I have nooooo energy. I have all this stuff I need to do around the house and noooo energy. Seriously, how do anorexics do it???
  2. Jme Girl-Congrats on getting a date! Everyone else-I still can't hardly eat anything so the doc wants me to have a barium swallow. I have to go have it Thursday morning. This sucks! :smile2: I hope nothing is wrong with my band. I am praying I am just filled to tight and swollen from it.
  3. No, you won't have to do any labs or preop testing unless you have some strange preexisting condition that would make surgery more dangerous. The nutritionist is included in the inclusive price-her name is Paula and she will talk to you over the phone. You will be required to do a low carb preop diet that basically consists of nothing white-no bread, pasta, potatoes, etc. Let us know if you have any further questions!
  4. Hee hee, my mom didn't think so! To this day she says "You haven't worn a color in 15 years. All you wear is black and brown!" Which really isn't true because I wear colors all the time when she is not with me. I just happen to look good in black and especially brown!
  5. He is back to his normal baseline crazy self, so life is getting back to normal.
  6. Thanks Dee. I think we really are twins, we even have our nervous breakdowns at the same time! I keep hoping it is due to the stress also, but what do you think about getting an unfill under flouro? I am only eating 200-300 calories a day since Wednesday. Not good!
  7. All right Dee, I'm going to have to tell you the same thing I told my friend Jen...I have to disown you for being a "Fanilow". LOL! One time her kids made me listen to "Copa Cabana" for 2 hours straight...I wanted to pull my hair out!! Love REO Speedwagon, did you know they are from Champaigne, Illinois, a few hours away from here? Just a little music trivia! And I do still love to rock out to "Jessies Girl" by Rick Springfield!
  8. Just for fun....what other 80's bands did everyone like? I LOVED 80's music...I am like the chick in the Bowling for Columbine song "1985". We listen to 80's night on the radio at work every Saturday and sadly it is the highlight of my weekend. (Yes, I have no life.) My absolute faves were Duran Duran, The Go Go's, and U2. Once I got a little older I liked more of the New Wave stuff like The Cure and Depeche Mode. (Yes, I was one of those girls who wore black all the time. It drove my mom crazy.)
  9. Ok ladies, I went for an unfill Friday and I am still way too tight. I just attempted to eat some KFC mashed potatoes, and I ate some cottage cheese earlier, and they both got stuck. This is getting old REALLY fast. And I am getting tired of having to pay for fills/unfills. I think I am going to call the office in the morning and demand that they get me scheduled for a fill under flouro. I have never had this many problems. I am sure some of it is due to stress, but still....I would have piece of mind if it is done under flouro and they make sure I don't have a slip or dilatation also. (As if I don't have enough to worry about right now, eh?)
  10. ROCK ON!! Awesome song!! (But it does always remind me of the movie "Silence of the Lambs" because that is what the senators daughter was listening to in her car before Buffalo Bill abducted her. Why I remember random crap like this is beyond me!)
  11. Thanks Lap, that brought back a lot of good memories and made me smile. And I needed to smile today!
  12. Naw, I didn't rock because my friends decided it was more important to stay at a bar and get drunk than go to the concert we had been planning on for two weeks. And they didn't tell me until 30 minutes before the concert was supposed to start, so I couldn't even find anyone else to go with at that late of notice. This is the girl who is supposed to go to Chicago with me next week. As frustrated as I am with my husband, I am almost tempted to take him instead, because Squeeze was always kind of our thing, and he will appreciate it alot more than she will. I don't like being crapped on by my friends. We dread the awful "full moon Saturday nights". I think there was actually an episode of ER about that once!
  13. Rationally, I know that. I am just having a bit of an emotional breakdown this weekend I think. It was the fence thing that finally pushed me over the edge! I have spent a good part of today crying. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
  14. Ha ha, my hair is so fine I could never make it big IN the 80's! I rocked the asymetrical bob! I was quite stylin, got voted best hair in the yearbook every year!
  15. Shelb- I think it's The Guess Who, and I have to say I am really impressed that you know who Aimee Mann is!! She is a phenomonal songwriter, I absolutely love her music. It speaks to my soul. She is kind of cynical yet realistic about life in her lyrics, and I like that. Add to that the fact that she has a beautiful voice! Squeeze is just an added bonus, but I like them also and used to listen to them ALL the time when I was in high school. Should I bust out my leggings, long sweater, and ballet flats for this concert perhaps? Have any of you noticed all that 80's stuff is back in style again this season? I saw a girl at Borders last night that looked straight out of an 80's video! (And she was probably too young to remember the 80's, that was the ironic part.)
  16. Oh Dorky one, where are you? Probably dispatching ambulances, big red trucks, and coppers, eh? At least it is not a full moon this weekend!
  17. Ahh, the evil side effects of medication. Particularly antidepressants. You could either try a fill, which is what I would attempt first, or switch medications to one that has an appetite suppressant effect like some of the older SSRI's. I would for sure try a fill before messing with your meds though, especially if this med seems to be working well for you. My two cents!
  18. They are "RS". And the funny thing is, it is over about 4-6 inches! I mean really, what are they possibly going to do with 4-6 inches? It is just more for them to weed whack. Idiots!! Well, my friends kind of ditched me for the Guess Who concert. They went to a bar first, and I didn't go with them because I just don't much do bars, and they decided they wanted to stay there. I couldn't find anyone else to go with me on such short notice. And my lawn guy even gave me passes to the VIP tent. But yes, we should DEFINITELY go to a concert at Red Rocks sometime, that would be awesome. I love concerts also! It is all I used to do all summer when I was younger...go to concerts. Next week I am going to Chicago to see Squeeze and Aimee Mann, so I am really looking forward to that! Remember Squeeze? Good old "Black Coffee In Bed" and "Tempted"?
  19. Thank you for the great advice Lap. Especially the part about not responding right away to every letter they send me. Because when it comes down to it, it is THEIR problem, NOT mine!! Yes, the neighbors will spread around the neighborhood that I am not cooperating, etc, but they can't hate me any more than they already do I don't suppose. I think it just shows what petty and vindictive (and SAD) people they are personally. I am going to go out and actually be social tonight and try to have fun with my friends, since I don't usually have any weekends off. The Guess Who is playing for free tonight, so we are going to go see them. I am going to rock out to a little "American Woman"... (Although once I had that song stuck in my head literally for TWO WEEKS straight and it about drove me insane!)
  20. Lap-I know it hurts, but you will be amazed how much it will help. Hang in there! You are a go getter and you will do great at it!
  21. So true Lap. Sometimes I wonder if I am making a mistake divorcing my husband even after the horrible things he has done, because when times weren't bad, they were like you described-he took away some of my stress, helped me around the house, etc. I find myself almost completely overwhelmed with all the household maintenance, yard work, etc. Unfortunately, in the case of my husband, his actions when he is behaving less than admirably, do speak louder than his words. Sigh.
  22. Good thoughts as always Lap. The other thing is, we had a verbal agreement with the gentleman who owned the house who has since passed away to let it go that it was slightly over the property line. It was put up 3 years ago. If he did not pursue actions to get it moved, I cannot imagine they have any standing to now. (But I have been wrong before!) Plus, he has a concrete parking slab that he had poured AFTER the fence was erected. (Which also shows, IMHO, that he was ok with where the fence was). It runs right up to the fence. If I was to move the fence, there would obviously be a huge drop off right where someone would get out of a car, which is potentially hazardous. One of my friends said I should move the fence over, but then paint something atrociously UGLY on the side facing their house so the house will never sell. Luckily for them, I am not that petty! And I would like to focus on myself, but it is hard when there are people all around you that seem hellbent on making you as miserably as THEY ARE, you know what I mean? And that is what these people are-miserable, hateful people. The executor of the estate is a nurse at the hospital. I know her from committees and such. I emailed her this morning and told her that I have always respected her and thought highly of her, and that I was very disappointed she had to resort to such heavy handed tactics instead of coming to me personally in an attempt to resolve this. Especially since this complaint is based on the hateful neighbors putting a bug in her ear. I personally would be embarrassed if I were her!
  23. Thanks Dee! I have had my plate full for awhile...when is it going to end???????? I had to take anti-anxiety meds for the first time in months. Shelbi-Denver Girl suggested the same thing in a PM. I don't think our EAP offers legal consults, but I will call them Monday. If nothing else, maybe it would just be good for me to go talk to them!
  24. Bella-The neighbor passed away in December, so the estate is trying to sell the house. They would have no idea that my proberty line is possibly encroaching over 4 inches unless my jerk neighbors told them. These are the people that live across the alley and go out of their way to make my life a living hell. They cannot mind their own business, hence the proberty line thing. No, I don't believe it has been surveyed. The lawyer kept saying in the letter that basically someone told him it was over the property line. No offense, but if they want to know if it is over the property line, they can pay to have it surveyed. One of my friend says I should move it, but then paint something horrendously ugly on the side facing their yard. If I didn't care about messing my fence up, I would! And thanks for the offers of "uncles". I will tell the neighbors I am going to bust their kneecaps if the don't be nice!
  25. Deb-Congrats and I am glad you made it home ok! What kind of pill crusher is it? The one with the screw top that you just turn to smoosh them up? Or a different kind? I am trying to lend you my nursie expertise but need to know which kind it is.
