    What's going on?

Maybe a warm bath will help until you can see your Doctor. And drink room temperature Water.
  2. I'm an identical twin we both have a lap band. She had hers about 3.5 years before me, but we're close to the same zone now (getting there). It's typical for my band to be tighter with stress and she actually feels it as well. And now she had a fill a couple of weeks ago and I feel like I had one too. I'm not complaining at all because I love the extra restriction here and there, just wanted to know if anyone else has the same feelings.

    Identical Twins and Lap Band

Yes, seeing your twin a size 4.....the best motivation ever! We too have those feelings. Many times i'll just get a call or text from her "what's wrong?" because she feels something. Pretty cool feeling....hard to explain to others. Best of luck on your weight loss!

    What's going on?

Can you maybe the doc or a nurse and explain this to them? I did not experience anything like that so I cannot help. Keep me posted.
  5. We broke up a while back. It's so judgmental "if you eat like that for 5 days...blah, blah, blah". I do like the app for keeping track of calories, but you're right, it doesn't understand our ways!
  6. So hard to get Texans together. I guess our state is just TOO big! How is your band doing? Have you had a fill yet?
  7. Great work! I love your enthusiasm and look forward to watching you succeed!

    Pre operations

If you want this bad enough, you'll follow your doctor's instructions to a tee! Trust us when we say, it's worth it!

    Lapband since 2013

I'm guessing you don't have much restriction? When I'm stressed, my band gets tighter, thank God! When is your follow-up appt?

    Severe Constipation: Advice Please

There is a hot tea called Smooth Move (ha, get it?) that always works for me. But your fluid intake is great. Good luck.

    Need a support buddy

You all have the tool to lose, just need to go back to the basics to jump start your losing again. If you feel like you don't have any or enough restriction, get a fill and stick to the guidelines your doc gives you. Liquids for a day, then soft foods, then regular meals, or whatever he/she suggests. You've worked to hard to get where you are, don't give up now!!

    Protein HELP!

Protein bars and shakes keep me in line. I don't take biotin but do take a multivitamin and my hair is growing back. Thinner than prior to lap band surgery, but coming back nonetheless.

    Concerns with banded pregnancy

I wasn't made aware of any issues, they just had all the saline taken out and ate normally. Both still have the band in place after several years.

    Feb 9 is the day

Congrats Rosie! I'm neither recent nor a sleever, but wanted to wish you well regardless. You'll do great!

    Concerns with banded pregnancy

I have a friend and sister in law who have had 2 pregnancies each with a lap band.

    Concerns with banded pregnancy

Wish I could help but I think your surgeon or obgyn will be a better source. I can be done with success.
  18. Just remember, there are some people who would be happy to be where you are with a six month monitored diet. You have a plan and are moving in the right direction. Don't give up!

    Recent clinic visit

I'm in the same boat, surrounded by sleevers in my support group. I'm 4 years out and at goal and they say I'm the exception. Nope...don't think so. We got this!

@@Bandista, I just realized we aren't friends here. How did that happen?? I fixed that!

    Can eat but not drink?

How long are you waiting after you eat before you drink? What are you eating? I have learned that i cannot eat eggs. Any form of eggs at any time of day. If i do, my day is ruined and no matter how long i wait, eating or drinking afterwards...it all comes back up. This might be the case with you, so determine what you ate and when you drank to see if it might be a specific food.

You are not alone. I've been married 20 years and although my husband is proud of me, he has serious doubts every time I leave the house. Couple that with the fact that I'm in the event industry and have to attend many events and travel to other states, it's tough. Be proud of who you are, you've done a great job! And yes, I too "un-eat" at times too. Thank you for sharing.
