You've lost a pile of weight!
Dolores33778 replied to RJ'S/beginning's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
That's a good one. My neighbor (male) said he thought my husband got a new wife too. Well, he sorta did and I really like her! Great job on your "pile". -
You look beautiful and happy! Great job!!
-
Great job!! I lost a pound and then gained it back after over undoing it yesterday. I weigh too often, clearly! 4 pounds is really awesome!
-
Ok Marie, we'll wait. ????

Hi @@Kerry 5570, miss chatting with you! Hope you're doing well.

What an ordeal, sorry you are going through all that. I agree with the others, although another surgery was not on your list, I would consider it. At least he is offering a solution rather than turning you away.

What was your weight today?? It's Sunday!

Great ideas. Now I want cake! ????

ISO jeans size 12, 11, 10
Dolores33778 replied to Jen - a work in progress's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I just went used jean shopping today. $50 a pair, but I wasn't able to find my size. Not even sure what size I am anymore. -
Just keep in mind that everybody is different and if you happen to have restrictions during flight, that might be the reason. Good luck!
-
Not saying this is the best advice, but you're going to have to lie. Tell him you can eat a 6 oz. chicken breast in 5 minutes with no restriction. Or at least, start documenting it. Right it down...take pics of your plate before and after with time stamps. Whatever it takes.

I think you'll do better if you concentrate on Protein and Water at this point. Don't worry about low fat or low calorie, chances are you are not getting to your calorie goal anyway.@@enjoythetime, do you agree?

And how do you justify that?

Info needed....hungry after surgery
Dolores33778 replied to LittleBand-it's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is normal and will pass. Follow your doctor's instructions and you will be successful. Congrats on your surgery and welcome to the other side! -
What is a dash diet?

Self Pay - Houston or Mexico
Dolores33778 replied to abutterfly15's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I'm a self pay in Houston and used Dr. Ata Ahmad. Great doctor but I think the follow up care is lacking. I learned more from this site than the doc's team. I'd still use him again. -
Approved and I Got A Date

Getting closer to surgery date, having problems seeing....
Dolores33778 replied to laurenella82's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Even when you're skinny you'll have a hard time seeing it. I'm still shocked when I see my reflection and when people tell me skinny, I immediately say "no I'm not". It's a difficult transition but so very worth it. Best wishes!! -

Try eBay too. Especially if you know the exact brand and style you like, just search for your size. -
I cannot tolerate salads and never thought about trying different types of greens like butter lettuce or spinach. I just assume salads are out for me. It's worth a shot, eat slowly.

Ok @@MarieMarie and @@blondie27, let's weigh in on Sunday. I need to drop a few pounds too, I no longer weigh 130 - don't laugh!
-
Ok, so when is the weekly weigh in? Friday?? Yes, the pressure is on!

You got this! Keep us updated.

questions about diet before refill
Dolores33778 replied to Susan58's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I'm not sure how a pre-op diet will help. I would suggest just get the fill and follow the instructions from your doctor. As long as you don't get filled too much, you will have restriction, but not to a point where you can't eat and keep your food down. Good luck and keep me posted. -
I have traveled but not that close after surgery. I can tell you, my band get tighter in flight. I used to think it was due to stress, but the altitude changes my band. Drink as much Water as you can and maybe have some Protein prior to the flight as well. My last flight to NY was 4 hours and it took me that entire flight to drink the small glass of water they gave me. I had not eaten or drank anything prior, so i was not blocked, just tight. This typically effects my entire trip and will normally lose about 5 lbs per business trip. I had 5 trips last year and got under my goal weight. I know every body is different, just wanted you to be prepared for some restriction, where you might not have had any yet.
