Hi everyone, sorry for the absence, had my sleeve 6/19, hardly knew it happened! I have been fortunate to have no pain, nausea, head hunger or other adverse outcomes. Saw my surgeon on 6/21 9 lbs lighter and he commented that it didn't look like I had just had surgery! Then he gave me the green light to travel for a few days, so I flew down to a warm, sunny beach and am enjoying just chilling and drinking (no alcohol of course) and recuperating if you can call it that. I am anxious to get home and weigh in. And you can bet I haven't said that too many times in my life! Looking forward to making the next meeting. Deb

Made it in and out of hospital without complications. At home finding it difficult to get all the water in, but each day is better.

Hi, sorry for the delay in answering, last minute scramble to get ready for this morning. Additional scans showed most likely calcifications but will repeat in 3 months just to make sure. No indication to hold off on surgery, so am off to be sleeved shortly! Will post update as soon as I am up to it. I won't make it, I am sitting in the Hope Chest Breast Center waiting on radiologist to read films. Seems like in my work-up for surgery, they found something on my mammogram. They wanted me in right away to check it out, praying nothing serious as surgery is scheduled in the morning.

Hi everyone, wow what a rugged weekend of work! I am looking forward to having the next month off. The next couple of days will be the last minute rush to get everything in order at home and then surgery on Thursday. Yippee! We are still on for Wednesday right? Deb

Hi I'm a nurse in the Twin Cities, starting my 35 the year. My surgery is coming up on Thursday, I am excited to be doing this but at the same time I am apprehensive about the first couple of weeks as I live alone with no close support. I feel like I am well-prepared for a normal post-op course but worry if some complication should arise. Am determined to weather any storm though and looking forward to reaching my goal weight and maintaining a healthy life balance.

I'm pretty flexible too. Olive Garden sounds good. Wednesday lunch or dinner? I work Th, F, Sa nights 7p-7am, but Tues night or Thurs lunch would work too.
