I'm 7 months post op from bypass surgery and I'm still not able to tolerate meats unless it's ground meat. I'm thinking about changing to a vegetarian diet and was hoping to get some meal suggestions... I also do not tolerate fish well... Are there any good vegetarian dishes that anyone can recommend?

My cousin who has also had WLS also had twins after and is I. The process of trying to get her baby weight off. She had mentioned to me doing the post op diet as she had right after surgery starting with the liquid then puréed... So on and so forth... I'm sure it will be a bit of a challenge, but it seems like something good to consider... Just a suggestion. Keep us posted on what you find that works good for you. I'm sure many will find those tips useful.

Looking for a sensible Breakfast idea!

Breakfast is where I always try getting in my protein shake or smoothie. I've noticed that if I don't get it in for breakfast then I always end up short on protein for the day. -
When people ask, do you tell them about WLS?
ShaDiva replied to Maineman's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Not many people know that I've had WLS... A lot of people have been asking recently how I'm loosing weight, but I tell half the truth, which is I've changed my eating habits and started working out and running... Which is all true. My issue is with judgmental people. I made the mistake of telling someone and their immediate response was like "you don't look heavy enough to have that surgery". Well at 5'2" and weighing a total of 2 people my body felt and looked like it was time to do something for my health. People think that WLS is taking "the easy way out", which couldn't be farther from the truth. Long story short... I tell selected few people that I've had WLS. -
Thank you all so much!!! It really has been a daily struggle on what to eat for me! I'm going to try all of these suggestions!
