Hi,
My name is Pam I live in Monument Co. I am a diabetic that was diagnosed at age 18 I was able to control it with oral medication until my 40's, as soon as I started on insulin my weight went up and could not lose it to save my self.
I was rushed to the ER on Mothers Day with incredible pain on my upper right side, turns out it is my Gallbladder I only have 1 stone but causing me much pain.
I was referred to Evans Army Medical Center, when I meet with the surgeon he asked if I had ever considered weight loss surgery, of course I had but I have such fear of hospitals I never acted on it. The Dr smiled and said they could do both surgeries at the same time and of course I said yes.
I am running around like a crazy lady taking all my classes meetings with the Physcoligest so I can have surgery in July. (I am the Director of a non- profit preschool and school starts Aug 19) so I can have time to recoup.
I have great fear of the surgery and go back and fourth telling myself that I can do this, I am just trying to stay focused and research as much as I can, and reading what others have gone.through. I would love any encouragement and information.
Wishing all good thoughts on your journey.
