I was grocery shopping the other day and I found a section of vegetarian foods. I was wondering if anyone has tried Smart Dogs, it's a vegetarian version of a hot dog. I almost got it, but I wanted some opinions first. There were some other "Smart" foods, but I can't remember what they were. I think I remember seeing smart deli meat too! Anyone tried these?

Thanks for the replies. I like the Boca burgers, so I don't think the texture would be an issue for me. I know I read that someone on here eats them, I just can't remember who or where I read it. Maybe they will see this thread and answer, in the meantime, I'll do a search and see if I can find out.

Here's my meal plan for today, so far so good! B'fast- low carb slim fast Lunch- canned chicken mixed with a little mayo and a little storebought spinach dip.........yum Dinner- plan to have a mushrom & cheese stuffed chicken breast Snack- either some almonds or a low carb slim fast

I usually do my grocery shopping at SuperWalmart, but I have had trouble getting it there. Last time I went, they had it, but the 3 other times I looked they were out of them. I have found them at Harvey's too! I'm not sure where you live, but here in Georgia, most of my local grocers have them. Good luck finding them!

I am soooo tired of the men! I really don't like any of them. If a guy has to win, I hope it's Dan. I've never liked Mark and Jay, but there is just something about Roger I don't like. I can't quite put my finger on it yet though. Brittany was my favorite too and I hated to see her go. Now I hope Ali wins, but it's highly unlikely since she doesn't have as much to lose now. But, she does pull good numbers, so who knows. I think these men are just plain stupid. How stupid are they to vote off Brittany, when Jay is a bigger threat? Them and their P.R.I.D.E makes me want to puke! I still can't figure out why Ali voted for Brittany, maybe to form an alliance? I keep thinking about the comment that Mark said to Alison in the beginning about being soooo dramatic, but all he does is sob. His brother too! I don't mind when men tear up a little, but c'mon.......it's just plain ridiculous!

My comment about "not going all the way" or "3/4 of the way" was about me only, in reference to what my doctor estimated that my weight would be. I hope you didn't think I was saying YOU were not going to go all the way, because it was not intended that way. My point in posting that was to express that you don't have to have the same goal your doctor has for you. Do what's best for you. No one knows you better than you.

My doctors office didn't really give me a weight to shoot for, I set my own goal for myself. When I get my fills and they weigh me, they give me a printout of height, weight, BMI, etc. On that printout, is states that they estimate I'll get to 180 lbs. Not sure if they go by average percentage weight loss or what, but that number is still too high for me. I set my goal at 150, once I get there, I'll decide whether or not to lose more. The reason I chose that number is because I remember being 150 lbs and I was happy and healthy then. I'm in agreement with Chickie, I don't want to only go 3/4 of the way, I want to go all the way! I just checked a BMI chart out online and at 180 lbs, I would still be slightly overweight and have a BMI of 30, at 150 lbs, I'm considered healthy and a BMI of 25.

Oh wow, thanks Michele! Low carb is really the only thing that works for me too! I do get tired of it sometimes, but I am hoping once I get to goal, I won't have to concentrate on low carb sooo much. For me, it is the best way to lose. I keep trying other things, thinking it will work, but I always seem to come back to the low carb lifestyle. Do you have a surgery date yet? What kind of supervised diet are you on? I just noticed we started out at about the same weight and have the same amount to lose!

I didn't know Blossom, but I read the thread about her death and my heart just sank. Such a tragedy..........she was obviously a wonderful person with a big heart. I was touched by all the wonderful comments. I am just amazed at how much she was loved by all of you.

Okay, this challenge will start on Feb. 15th and last through St. Patrick's Day (March 17th). The whole focus of this challenge is "green". The Shamrock is the symbol of Ireland. Since it is a 3 leaf clover, I thought.....why not let it symbolize our weight loss goal. The goal is to lose 3 lbs per week, which would total a 12 lb loss for the entire goal. I also thought it would be a good idea to try to eat more "green" foods. Foods like lettuce, spinach, broccoli, green beans, etc. These food are typically harder to eat for some of us, but very healthy. So if you can tolerate it, let's give it a try! Last but not least, I thought it would be a wonderful idea to give back to the environment. Let's "go green" for one month. Simple, everyday changes can make a big difference. Here are just a few: 1.)Change the thermostat setting by lowering it by a few degrees in winter and raising it a few degrees in summer. 2.)Wash clothes in cold water when possible. 3.)Use longer-lasting, low-energy compact fluorescent light bulbs. 4.)Reduce electricity by using more natural light. 5.)Recycle. Hey Losing! Thanks for getting this started, I need something to get me on track again. I haven't been feeling well (flu/cold junk) but I will start posting my menu tomorrow. Looking forward to low carbing it again with you and rest of the gang! Let's drop some pounds!!!

chocolate snaps, 10 lbs is great! Don't be too hard on yourself. That being said, I know how you feel. I didn't make the last one and it really sucked!! It just gave me that much more incentive to make the next one though. 10 lbs is still something to be extremely proud of, your 10 lbs lighter than last month, and 10 lbs closer to your goal. :thumbup:

Well, I watched the show and it definitely makes sense. I am going to continue recording the shows and watch all of them. He is basically telling them to do what we, as bandsters, already do. People without the band would definitely have a harder time stopping we they think they are full. That's why I love my band so much!! I tend to fall in the category of most "dieters", in that I do deprive myself of certain foods. After a while of depriving myself, I usually do fall off the wagon for a while. That is something I could definitely try to do different, just to see what happens. All in all, I thought the show was very interesting. I'm interested to see what happens next week. -

Interesting........I just looked on my guide and I must have missed the first show, but it's showing again at 12:00am, so I programmed it to record. That does sound like an interesting show. I'll comment about it after I watch it.
