Hi lilbit! I got your message you left on my profile picture. Thank you for the compliments. I'm willing to help in any way I can. If you have any specific questions, you can PM me and I'll answer them to the best of my ability. Good luck to you and I hope to hear from you.

Erica, I hear ya! It can get frustrating to read those type posts over and over again. Honestly, I've gotten to the point where I don't even read those anymore. In fact, I haven't been in the pre-op and post-op questions forums in quite a while. That being said, I could never just leave this site because of it. This site is way to beneficial for me. I need the support system here, not to mention I've made quite a few friends here that I would miss dearly. Hopefully you can find a way to deal with it because while leaving seems like the answer now, I'm afraid you would miss out on some wonderful support here. Best of luck to you.

Hi Lucy! Glad it was a hit! I love this recipe but I recently stopped eating meat, so I need to make a vegetarian version. Thanks for the positive comments!

Good point Kat! Forgiving others is a lot easier for me than forgiving myself. Guilt is a strong emotion to overcome and I agree...it's just as important to forgive yourself as it is to forgive others.

Good article Terri. For me, it is necessary that I forgive in order to move on. I've tried trying to put it out of my mind and ignoring the person but it doesn't work. I don't like feeling resentment or anger towards anyone. It interferes with my everyday life and just makes me feel terrible. Everyone is different though, and not everyone has the need to forgive like I do. I think many times people think that forgiveness means you need to forget too, and that's just not so. Many people have wronged me and I've forgiven them, but I haven't forgotten what they did. I definitely learned from it though. Anyway, that's my thoughts on the subject.

Hi 2angels! Sorry things are not going well for you. This site is a wonderful place for encouragement and support. Sounds like you have some restriction since you aren't eating a lot, but you probably just need to focus on WHAT you are eating. I also encourage you to start exercising too. I know it's not fun but I believe it's essential in this lifestyle. I wish you the best of luck and I hope things turn around soon for you. -

Hey tiger50! Congrats on your upcoming surgery! It's normal to be nervous. Looks like you and Leslie will be there the same day. Good luck to you and be sure to keep us updated. Click on this link and it will show you how to do the ticker, step by step. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f5/ticker-tutorial-pictures-41782/ -
Yes, my hair is naturally curly too. I love my new haircut but I have to take the time to straighten it every day with the straight Iron. But it's all good. About the before picture, I have no idea what you are talking about, lol! I'm not very good with stuff like that. How do I reformat it? Do you mean make it smaller? I can try to get another one if I need to. I have one I wanted to use, but it has other people in it to and I don't have a scanner to crop it. Anyway, let me know how to reformat it and I will try to send it again. Thanks!

Hey Skinnyziggy! My suggestion to you is to start at the beginning of this thread and you will find lots of ideas. There are thousands of ideas on this thread that could possibly work for you. It is hard to figure out what to eat when you are busy. I wish you the best of luck and I hope you find some meal ideas that work for you. Take care. -
Leslie, I have one! That's why I was so self-conscious about getting my hair cut off. My long curls hid it well, lol! I have to say that since losing weight, it has decreased in size CONSIDERABLY. At 330lbs, it stuck out like a sore thumb! I didn't have one when I was thin, so I think it will disappear once I lose all my excess weight. I can't even tell you how much better it looks now!

Mia- I'm soooo excited for you! You are going to make a beautiful bride. I'm not sure it's possible not to stress about the wedding....I know I did, lol! Just enjoy every moment, chaos and all. I was a bridezilla too, but once it was all over, I missed it. Sounds crazy but true. Anyway, I wish and your fiance the best! I will be at the beach while you are on your honeymoon, so have a good time and be safe! Leslie- I'm so glad you got your approval. I know you are relieved. I too am an emotional eater, so I know how you feel. Just do the best you can and hopefully after your fill during surgery, you will feel some restriction! You're doing great...hang in there! As far as me, I'm doing pretty good. Had a rough night though. My 2 year old son had a virus last night and was throwing up every 30 minutes. It was awful but he is feeling good this morning. I haven't weighed in a while. I decided I was going to try to go without it for a while. I just switched my diet plan so I'm gonna give it some time before I weigh. I am noticing changes in my clothes, so I know I am losing inches. I know I will get discouraged if I don't see a number change, so I'm boycotting the scales for just a bit longer. -
Thanks, so I guess it's nothing to worry about then. I just wasn't sure I was getting an acurate number for calories burned. Thanks for the replies girls!

Leslie, sorry you are feeling bad and stressed. I wonder what's taking BCBS so long to approve it. Do you have BCBS FEP? That's what I have. It took them less than 2 weeks to approve my surgery. Anyway, hope you feel better soon. Get some rest today and relax (as much as you can).

Brandy and Ready My surgeon said that the band is meant to last a lifetime, but there is no way of knowing that for sure. They don't know how the band is going to be in....say 20 or 30 years from now. The band hasn't been around long enough to know what will happen 30 years from now. So who knows? But it is something some of us may have to face one day.

Denise, you're not grossing me out! I've been contemplating going vegetarian for a while now and it's mainly for health reasons and the fact that I am sick to death of meat. Renewed, you are doing so well with this! I'm happy for you! If you keep this up, you will be at goal before you know it! I have to say, I love my new eating plan. The only bad thing about it is that I don't say full very long. But I am eating 5-6 times a day, so it's good for my head issues. It feels like I get to eat more. The best part is...I get to eat the type foods that I love. Ya'll keep up the good work! -
Did it finally start working again?
-
Let me first start out by saying that I've never been a big meat eater to begin with. chicken is just about the only meat I like. Ok, so yesterday I was on my way to the YMCA to work out, here in Moultrie. I was sitting at a red light and a Sanderson Farms Truck pulls up beside me. It's loaded with chickens. Well, the red light was soooo long and I was looking at these chickens and two things disturbed me. 1.) I knew these chickens were about to die! 2.) These chickens looked terrible! Most of them had no hair on their rears and just looked so unsightly. My parents have chickens (only for eating the eggs), so I know they peck at each other and that's why they had no hair there. This just made me feel sick... I've tossed around the idea of becoming an Ovo-Lacto Vegetarian since being banded and I think this was the last straw. One of the most successful bandsters I've met on LBT is an Ovo-Lacto Vegetarian (who's name is Chickie- no pun intended). Hopefully ya'll don't think I'm too much of a weirdo, but I had to share. It was almost like an epiphany. As I'm sitting here reading my post, it's kinda funny, but I can't help it. Anyway, just wanted to get it off my chest.

Thanks, I'm hoping I see a big difference from doing this. I love your new avatar. Sooo cute! Good to hear from you. I know you've been really busy, but it's nice to talk to you. Try not to wear yourself out too much before the honeymoon! Hehehe!
