Leave it to you Froggi to get lost in this place, LOL. I saw a few posts you made on the first page. Did you post another one recently or something?

    self esteem

I agree with that. I don't hate myself, I just hate the fact that I let myself get so unhealthy. Two totally different things. It takes two people to argue. Just sayin... Here's my two cents. I didn't read anywhere on this thread where Jachut made derogatory comments about fat people. She stated HER experience and thoughts about HER life as being fat, no one else's. I don't get why you were so defensive about HER experience. She said that she was lazy, unmotivated, and careless as a fat person and she said that not all fat people were that way. So, I didn't take any of that as being derogatory or insensitive to others. I'm confused as to why you felt the need to argue her first two posts . The question of whether or not an obese/overweight person can have good self-esteem is going to vary from person to person. It all depends on how you feel about yourself. Do I think it's possible? Yes. Am I there? Not quite, but I'm getting there. It's getting better and better as I lose weight.

This thread is going to be sooo inappropriate!

I use the Neutrogena microderm cleansing pads. Each pad has two sides to it, one side scrubs and exfoliates while cleansing and the other is a smooth conditioning texture. They work really good. I'd recommend them. Is this the same as yours or different?

OMG! I have a brain tumor

Diane, I hope the drug therapy works. That beats having to have it removed with surgery. Sounds like you are doing so well. Thanks for the update and I will continue to pray for you. Good luck with the breast reduction too!

Sensa - 'Sprinkle Diet' on the News

The idea of this product sounds ridiculous to me! "Intensifying" the flavor would just leave me wanting more... What will they come up with next :rolleyes2:
  11. Lookin good Leslie! Love the new haircut! That's quite a big difference in two and a half months. WTG!
  12. Glad you are doing so well! That's wonderful that you already feel 100%! It really doesn't matter to me where we eat. Anywhere that serves soup is fine with me. I don't eat in Albany very often so I'm game for anything.
  13. Leslie, any idea where we will be meeting? Just wondering.... I will be on liquids because I am getting a fill the day before, so just wondering if we are meeting at a restaurant? How are you doing? Hope things are going well since your port revision.

Ok, I haven't been posting my food lately. I'm in desperate need of a fill. I do really good during the day but by night I'm starving. I'm going to the beach for a week Monday and I just hope I don't gain. I have an appt for a fill on the 30th but I'll post my food up until Monday just to keep me accountable. Everyone is doing so great! Keep up the good work! Plan for today: B'fast~ yoplait light boston creme pie yogurt Lunch~ 1 c. Kashi protein cereal w/ 1% milk Snack~ 1 oz mixed nuts (almonds, cashews, and macadamia) Dinner~ grilled cheese sandwich on whole wheat and tomato soup Snack~ 100 calorie popcorn

i am staying on plan today because ...

...because even though I need a fill, I have to prevent myself from gaining until my appt.

You know you are a bandster when....

When your family laughs at you at the dinner table because they hear all the gurgling noises in your throat.
  20. Whooo Hoooo Leslie! WTG! That's wonderful! I can't wait to shop in the 'normal' sections! I did buy a pair of workout pants in the ladies section. It was an XL. I know they are stretchy but hey...I'll take it, lol!

    no drinking

It hasn't been an issue for me either. I started the 'no drinking while eating rule' and the 'chew till your food is liquid' before I was banded, so by the time I was banded I was already used to it. I too thought it would be a big deal at first, but it isn't. I don't even notice much anymore. It's become second nature, lol.

    How much water??

Well, I haven't asked my doctor how much, but I've heard 2 different recommendations. 1.) eight 8oz glasses a day. 2.) drink half your body weight in ounces. That seems like A LOT though, so I dunno which one is better. I usually stay closer to 64 oz and I haven't had any problems. Somedays I go over that but I don't think I drink half my body weight...that would be 122 ounces!
  23. Hey Froggi, thank you for the compliment! I really appreciate it. I hope your waiting ends soon and you're able to get the surgery. Good luck to you!

Dr. John Bagnato - Bagnato Bandits

Tiger50- glad you are doing well! Walking and using the heating pad should help a lot. I wish you a speedy recovery and take it easy. Bamboobabe- I haven't researched plastic surgeons yet. I'll probably start that when I am much closer to goal. Things are "headed south" on me too, lol! But DH and I have to decide whether or not we want to have another child first. So, it may be a while before I actually have my skin removed.
