Thanks Kathy! You have been a big help. I really appreciate it!! I'm so glad your knees haven't given you any problems while running!
-
It feels like the pain is more in front, but I don't know. I haven't thought about using bengay. I may get some tonight and try it. I really don't think it's serious, so I'm just going to take it easy a couple of more days and maybe try jogging outside again in a few days. Bonnie~ I love your post! Kudos to you for making a change NOW!

Thanks Kathy, it does help. Come to think of it, it started hurting right after the first run on the treadmill. I'm not 100% sure it is my actual knee that is bothering me because it doesn't hurt to bend it at all. In fact, I squat down to the floor with no problem. It hurts more to lift my leg up (like lifting to take a step) but it hurts around the knee area. Like, if I am sitting down in a chair and try to lift my left leg, I can only lift it a little. It's strange. I kinda pushed on my knee last night and the area that is tender is right below my left knee cap, to the right just a little (toward the inside). Do you know where the IT band is? I will definitely ask the doctor about where to run. Glad your sugar levels have been good. That's great! Les~ Love you too girl! I can always count on you too!

Whosya~ I LOVE reading your posts!!! Your passion for fitness really inspires me. Even while you are out of town, you always make time to exercise (A LOT, lol). I don't think you realize just how inspiring you are. You rock!!!

Bonnie~ I totally agree! This is probably the best support thread yet!! Very dedicated people here! Congrats on your 20 minute run! I can't even imagine being able to do that, but seeing everyone's progress gives me hope! You rock Bonnie!! I am totally missing my scales!! I feel like I have lost some weight and I want to know soooo bad! Labor day is a long time away. Hope I can stay away......

Hey Les! My knee feels better today. Not 100%, but much better. I think that's a good sign that nothing serious is wrong. You know, I was thinking....my knee didn't start bothering me until after I switched from running outside to the treadmill. Maybe that has nothing to do with it, but it's just a thought I had. Not really sure which one would be better on the knees???

WTG Kathy! That is a pretty big increase of running time. Sounds like you are getting pretty good! Keep up the good work. Hope you and DH have a good date night!!!

Bonnie~ Sorry about your ipod. I'm glad you got your mp3 player working though. Kathy~ Glad to hear you're doing okay. Congrats on rocking your interview! I hope it works out! I am going to have to make myself take some days off from running. Although my knee wasn't hurting that bad last night, this morning I could barely walk. This is definitely the worst is has felt yet. I ended up making an appointment with an orthopedic doctor for next Friday. I don't think anything is seriously wrong, but I want to make sure everything is okay before I make it worse. So, I will be here cheering ya'll on from the side lines for a few days. Everyone is doing such an awesome job!!

Losing, it's not just the hormones. I have never heard of this either. That sounds a little over the top to me. Of course, we've all heard of regestering for wedding gifts and baby showers, but birthdays???? That's a new one.....

Les, right now I have a pair of Nike Shox running shoes. I know they are not top of the line by any means, but they seem to be working good. Mine felt a little heavy too at first, but feel fine now.

You might could also use 2.25 lbs of lean ground beef instead of using the beef and pork. Not sure if that would change the cooking time, but that may cut back on the fat.....just a thought. -

bama belle~ It usually takes a few fills before you get some really good restriction, so don't worry if you think you are eating more than some of us. It took A LOT of fills for me to get good restriction. Not sure what kind of spinach dip you are using, but Tostito's creamy spinach dip is really good and only has 50 calories or 2 tbsp. I too use it all the time, I've even made egg salad and deviled eggs with it. -

I had a feeling you would be running again tonight, lol! Great NSV Sugarbean! It's amazing how much can in such a short amount of time. Good job!

Mamato3~ Whooo Hooooo!! WTG girl!! You are doing soooo good!!! Leslie~ I think you will be surprised. I stayed on week 2 a few extra days and I think that really helped me. I had no trouble with week 3 today, even running through part of my cool down, lol. I went in thinking...NO WAY, but it wasn't as hard as I thought. I love this program!! LYN~ I did day 1 week 1 with no music and a stopwatch. That was the hardest run I've had to do yet! I think not having music played a big part in that. So, I can't go without music either now. Serenity~ Congrats on finishing week 4! Good job!!

Okay thanks, glad it wasn't just me.
-
Bonnie~ I walk at 3.3 and run at 4.7.

Okay, woke up this morning and my ankle and knee felt fine. I decided to go the the gym and attempt day 1 week 3. To my surprise, the 3 minute intervals were not bad at all!! YAY!!!! I'm a little confused though. I think I may have run through some of my cool down. Should I be walking when the cool down starts? I ran for like 3 minutes and still didn't hear a chime so I stopped running and started walking. 2 minutes later the music completely stopped. Is there a 5 minute cool down or am I supposed to run for 5 minutes at the end???? My knee is bothering me a tad, but noting unbearable. I'm icing it now.

I did too! I need to get DH to hide mine too. I forgot and ALMOST weighed myself. I had stripped down before I realized I wasn't supposed to weigh, lol.
