  2. Hey abc! I've been wondering where you were. I'm so glad you checked in with us. Nip50 has done an amazing job losing weight. She might be able to give you some tips on how she does it. A few questions for you. Do you have good restriction? Are you exercising? Are you getting enough Protein? How's your Water intake? Are you logging calories? What types of food are you eating? I know that's a lot of questions, but just trying to see how we can help you. 48 lbs is nothing to be ashamed of. You are 48 lbs lighter than you were when you had surgery, right? So, don't think of it as not being as good as others. Comparing yourself to others is never a good thing. We are all different and lose at different rates. Please keep posting and we will try to help you as much as we can. This website has been a God send to me. I definitely wouldn't do as well if I didn't check in daily.
  3. Welcome lojo!! Onderwoman is right....great support here! I've been banded for just over a year now and I couldn't be happier! It's been a challenging year, lots of changes in my life, mostly with food. I wouldn't trade it for anything though. I now have the energy to exercise and I feel so much healthier.     I just recently started changing up the speed and incline some. I don't do it everytime, but I throw it in there every now and then. I also just started runnng outside some and I like it much better. Good luck to you!

    October Exercise Challenge

    No exercise for me today either. Unless my running day ends up being on Sunday, I usually take it as a rest day. I'll be running tomorrow for sure. Everyone is doing great!!

    Congrats Tootie!! Great job and great time!! WTG!!! Kathy~ I'm glad you have a running buddy now. You're very lucky to have a hubby interested in running. I've been working on my hubby, but it's not going anywhere, lol.

    I went to the gym this evening and they were closed. I didn't know they closed early on Saturday. So, I drove over to the bike/walk trail and ran outside today. I have to say, I really enjoyed it. I really concentrated on pacing myself and I did pretty good. I went about 3 miles and actually ran most of it. I walked a couple of minutes a few times in between running. The time went by faster today. I think the treadmill will be a bit boring after running outside. Hope you are all having a great weekend!

    Great job guys!! Well, I got to the gym this evening and it was closed. Didn't know it closed at 6:00. So, I drove over to the walk/bike trail and ran 3 miles, well I ran most of it. I walked for a couple of minutes a few times in between.

You're probably right, yesterday probably wore you out. Oh, I'm not dressing up for halloween either. Maybe next year. DH works at the post office as a city carrier, so I thought it would be cute for DS to dress up like a mail man. He's gonna be so cute! I did some strength training today and ran a little on the treadmill. It wasn't my run day, but I couldn't help it. I did something a little different today, I ran really fast intervals (5.3 mph) and walked (3.7 mph). I also did it at an incline part of the time. Nice change but I was sooooo tired afterwards.

    Today Strength training~ arms, abs, back (45 minutes) Treadmill~ run/walk intervals, fast run/fast walk, rotating incline up and down (30 minutes) Everyone is doing fanastic!! Keep it up guys!!

    WTG Kathy!! You're getting sooo close to Onederland!! So, you're drinking 4 oz of orange juice on days you exercise and whole grains at every meal. What do you eat for breakfast? And what type of whole grains are you eating? Are you still eating a lot of protein too? Sorry for all the questions. Just curious....

    Thanks Gloucester! Don't be hiding....I kinda felt the same way on the C25K thread when I was struggling to run a few minutes and everyone else was running full 5K's, lol. Just keep at it and keep adding minutes and you'll be running a 5K in no time! I'll find you if you don't post, lol.....:w00t:

    October Exercise Challenge

    I'm in too :w00t: I will run/walk a 5k every other day and do strength training and/or a different cardio on off running days. Today~ treadmill (5K): 5 minute walk at 3.5 mph, 21 minute straight run at 4.5 mph, then finished the rest of the distance in intervals, running at 5.0 mph and walking at 3.7 mph. Total of 42:10

    I just got back from the gym. I wanted to run 20 minutes straight today, but I didn't.......I RAN 21 MINUTES STRAIGHT!! He He He!! Then I finished the whole 5k doing walking and running intervals (running at 5.0 mph and walking at 3.7 mph). I ran my straight run at 4.5 mph. I shaved 5 minutes off my last time. I did it today in 42:10! Granted, I feel like I could die on the floor right now, but it's all good!

    I'm just getting caught up on the posts. I had a terrible day yesterday with food. I'm not even going to confess everything I had. Mamato~ I am so sorry you are going through this. I can't imagine how rough it is right now. I'm not really sure how I feel about antidepressants, just be careful in whatever you decide to do. We are always here for you. Hang in there! Renewed~ Cute pictures!! Ya'll look so happy! Definitely hang on to those 3 handsome guys! I'll be running today. Not sure what I'm going to do yet. I guess I'll decide once I get going :cool2:

    Lyn~ Good luck!! I said a prayer for you. Kathy~ You can't hear me, but I'm trying my best to whistle at you, lol. It's sad, but I've never been able to whistle. You look AMAZING!! Love the red, it really suits you. Renewed~ Very cool! I have to have the nike+ system. I've even got DH interested in how it works. Gotta love that he's a gadget freak, lol! Leslie~ I agree. They could have been climbing and hiking like crazy. I'm not really sure who my favorite is yet. I like Heba but I'm not sure about her hubby yet. I don't like the brown team right now. I don't really have a reason, just that he seems like he can be a butt! I like the yellow girl, Colleen I think (?). I don't know who's gonna win, but I do love the show!!

    Yes, I saw it! I was so afraid that leaving the show would take him back to his old ways. I was soooo impressed with his after footage. He really worked hard. I've been adding an extra minute to my runs and it's been working pretty well. My energy hasn't been there lately for my solid runs, so that's why I changed it up a bit today. I think our bodies just need a change every now and then. Congrats on getting back on the horse!! It's gonna feel great!!
