    October Exercise Challenge

    I've been sick most of the week, but I got back on the train today. Treadmill~ Ran 30 minutes straight, then walked for 20 minutes. Ab exercises~ Did 3 different ab exercises (3 sets, 12 reps each)

    I DID IT! I DID IT!! I RAN FOR 30 MINUTES STRAIGHT TODAY!! The bad news is, I got a terrible cramp in my side after I stopped and had to walk the rest of the 5K. That's okay though. 30 minutes is the most I have ever ran straight. I did it on the treadmill today instead of outside. I thought I was going to die, but I survived, lol. I ran a total of 2.3 miles straight, then walked the rest!! I'm on cloud 9! Bea~ Good for you!! You're doing great!! Congrats Whosya! You and Renewed both rock!!

    Sorry, it took so long. I've been sick and haven't been online much. I just mixed together: 1 cup of skim milk, some Water (about 1/2 cup), leftover coffee (about 1/2 cup), some splenda, 1 packet of Diet Hot chocolate mix (only 25 calories), and a little Davinci SF syrup (whatever flavor you like). I put in a big jug and just shake it until mixed well and poured it over ice. It was pretty good and only 125 calories. You could always add chocolate Protein powder instead of the hot chocolate mix if you wanted.

    Kathy~ Sorry you are stessed out. Honestly, the past two days, I haven't been doing good in the food dept either. Being sick has got me off my game. I've been craving sweets like crazy too. I am starting to feel better, so I hope I can run tomorrow and get back on track. Let's make a vow to start new tomorrow. I vow to log my food and I am going to run tomorrow. It's a new day!! We can do it!!

    I'm not going to make it to the meeting tonight. I do feel a little better today, but not good enough to get out. Whoever goes, be sure and let us know how it goes. I'll try my best to make the next one.

    I'm so glad little Dylan is feeling better. They sure know how to push their limits when they are sick, don't they? I know mine does, lol.

    Welcome FalloutGirl! I felt terrible yesterday, so I didn't run. I do feel a little better today but I think I am going to take today off and maybe try tomorrow. Ugggh....I'm just ready to run again. My 5k is in a few weeks and I'm not ready yet.

    Dr. John Bagnato - Bagnato Bandits

    Hello everyone!! I have been doing really good lately, especially with the exercise. I have been pretty sick these last couple of days and not sleeping good. Here it is, 12:30 am and I can't sleep. Not sure if it's the flu or something else, so I'm pretty sure I won't make it to the meeting. If for some reason I feel a lot better, I'll go. It was good to hear from ya'll.

    Thanks, I'll check into it. I know when I signed up, they said you could sign up for personal trainer session for a certain amount of money (can't remember how much now). I'm probably not going to the meeting but I'm not completely sure yet. I still feel pretty bad and haven't been sleeping at night. If I feel better tomorrow I might. I feel the same way. I really liked Heba at first but she disappointed me this week. Not sure why she feels the need to be in control of everything. The sad thing is, Heba and the brown team are pretty tight and if their team is in the bottom, I have a feeling Amy will be sent home. I think Colleen is my favorite too. She seems like a hard working, honest girl. I'm glad she stood up and kept her word during the challenge.

    Today: B'fast~ homemade iced coffee Snack~ Campbells soup at hand (chicken noodle) Lunch~ oatmeal, 1 oz nuts Snack~ 100 cal popcorn Dinner~ 1 cup lasagna I'll have to google the potstickers. They look really good.

    I'm still not feeling well, but I managed to run a mile today. I'm all stopped up and can't hardly talk, so anything more than a mile makes it extremely hard to breathe. DH is sick as well. Leslie~ Have a great time!! memom~ Sorry about your knee. Sounds like you are still doing great though. Sometimes you just have to do what you can. Lets see......I will be running a 5k next month (hopefully running all of it). I need to get my butt in the gym and work on strength training. So, I plan to get better in that area. I'm really hoping in 3 months time I can lose at least 30 more pounds. That would put me in Onederland!! I haven't seen a one in front of my weight since I was 18...ten years ago!! That will be a day worth celebrating!!!!

    Hi everyone! I am posting to let ya'll know that Renewed's DS is very sick. He has staph infection and there is a possibility that it could be in his blood. Poor little fellow is very very sick. Ya'll please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. I'm sure Renewed will update us when she can.

    Yesterday: B'fast~ Campbells soup at hand (chicken noodle) Lunch~ 1/2 ham & cheese wrap, 3 triscuits Snack~ Kashi cinnamon harvest cereal and a little milk, 1 oz. nuts Dinner~ Oatmeal and 100 cal popcorn Today: B'fast~ Oatmeal Lunch~ 1/2 ham and cheese sandwich on whole grain bread, 100 cal goldfish Dinner~ 1/2 rotisserie chicken breast wrap, 3 triscuits Snack~ not sure???

    October Exercise Challenge

    I haven't felt very good this weekend, so my exercise has been a lot less than normal. Yesterday I ran about a mile...nothing today. Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow.

    Welcome Lacey!! I actually changed the routine up after week 4. I couldn't seem to get past it, so I kinda made my own plan. Good luck with it!! WTG Whosya!! Kathy~ I haven't been online much. I still feel pretty bad, so I skipped exercising today. Hopefully I can manage to do something tomorrow... I guess they fixed the website. It was wierd last night, or early this morning rather. There was nothing under the exercise or food sections. Anyway, glad it's back to normal!!

    WTG Lyn on the 4 miles!!! Kathy, sounds like you had a blast!! I have been a bit under the weather and today was my run day. This morning I said I was not going to run, but I ended up taking a small run this evening. I probably only ran about a mile straight and stopped, but with my sinus infection (or whatever this is), I couldn't breathe all that well. We are all sick. DS is still croupy and DH and I are getting something too. DH said I shouldn't have been running, but I didn't want to miss the day completely, lol. If I feel better tomorrow, I may attempt it again...

    Need world famous chili recipes

    I found this pumpkin chili recipe here on LBT, so I can't take credit for it. I absolutely love it!! My favorite chili ever!! With it being fall, that might be a good choice. The only problem with the recipe might be that some people may not be fond of pumpkin. I never thought I was fond of it until I tried this recipe. NJchick posted this recipe, so here it is: PUMPKIN CHILI !!!! MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM If you love pumpkin, you'll love this.... at least I do. This recipe was give to me by one of my best friends who has lost 85+ lbs by following a Mediterranean diet. She is not banded. She is truly amazing and has learned to cook so healthy and wonderful. Thanks LINNY !!!!! You can adjust this recipe any way you like and it still turns out wonderful. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 1/2 cup chopped onion 1 cup chopped red bell peppers 1 clove garlic 1 pound ground chicken breast or turkey 2 (14.5 ounce) cans canned peeled and diced tomatoes 1 (15 ounce) can LIBBY'S® Pumpkin Pie 1 (15 ounce) can canned tomato sauce 1 (15.25 ounce) can canned kidney Beans, drained 1 (4 ounce) can ORTEGA® Diced Green Chiles 1/2 cup whole kernel corn 1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder 1 teaspoon ground cumin 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper HEAT vegetable oil in large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onion, bell pepper and garlic; cook, stirring frequently, for 5 to 7 minutes or until tender. Add chicken or turkey; cook until browned. Drain. ADD tomatoes with juice, pumpkin, tomato sauce, beans, chiles, corn, chili powder, cumin, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Cover; cook, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes. MY SUGGESTION, EAT THE NEXT DAY......... YUMMY !!!! You can put in what ever you want, any veggies, beans etc. I also put in to bulk it up, zucchini, squash, green beans, peas, carrots (canned).
