Hey SugarBean!! I tend to have trouble with scrambled eggs, even when I don't have good restriction. Deviled eggs and omlettes are okay, there's just something about those scrambled eggs that make it hard to go down for me. Glad you had a good trip! Lynn~ Welcome back! I missed you! I'm glad you posting again and glad you are going to start running again. I *think* I am back on track. Just hoping I can stay there. Kathy~ Sounds like ya'll had a good time!

What do you get at starbucks?
georgia girl replied to kjhack's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mine too! I used to get the caramel macchiato (sp?), but now I get the cinnamon dolce skinny latte. I love it! -
Kathy, glad you like your job. I can sense your excitement, lol. It did feel really good to run today and I'll be making a point of keeping it up. Sugar, have a great shopping trip! You should buy something nice for yourself....you deserve it!! Be safe and have fun!

Kathy, it's good to hear from you. I sure do miss chatting with you during the day. Sorry your DD is sick. Hope she feels better soon. Are you still liking your new job?

Well, I went to gym today and I feel great. I did my first *real* run in almost two weeks. I've done a little running outside a few times, but nothing to speak of. I ran for 20 minutes and did the Stair Master. Also did some upper body work. Anyway, glad to be back on track!!

Ok....got my booty in gear and went to the gym. 20 minutes upper body strength training 30 minutes treadmill (20 min straight run, 10 min incline walk) 10 minutes Stair Master May do the Wii Fit for a while tonight too.

Your welcome luluc. I'm glad they liked it. The first time I made it was for a church function and everyone just raved about it. I love this soup and make it a lot in the winter.

I got this recipe out of our local newspaper years ago. I love this soup!! It's very chunky and hearty. (The recipe calls for elbow noodles, but if you are carb conscious you can leave them out. I've made it with and without and it's great either way.) EASY VEGETABLE BEEF Soup 1 lb. lean ground beef 3 (14.5 oz) cans of chicken broth 4 cups Water 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix 1 (16 oz) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables 2 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1/2 cup dry macaroni elbow noodles (optional) In a dutch oven, brown ground beef and drain. Put browned meat back in dutch oven and add chicken broth, water, and onion soup mix. Put heat on high and bring to a boil, lower heat to medium and simmer for 20 minutes. Add frozen vegetables, diced tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Cook for 15 minutes. If desired, add macaroni noodles and boil for 10 minutes. Serve immediately and refrigerate or freeze leftovers. Makes about 9- 1 cup servings. This is my favorite soup! Normally, soup goes right through my band, but this soup is hearty enough and makes me full.

Just curious....why do you have to give up the chai and hot chocolate??? I'm not much of a hot tea drinker either, but I love chai tea. I add a little splenda and just a little milk to it. I also buy the Alpine sugar free apple cider mix, it's pretty good. I also drink the diet hot chocolate mix. I drink coffee in the mornings and the others at night.

It's called Bandster Hell, lol. Yeah, it's rough, but it will get better once you get a fill. It may even take a couple of fills, but you will get there. Hang in there.

This might be a silly question...

Same with me. I don't use childrens utensils, but I do use small plates. It really does help. Good luck! -
Whoooo Hooooo Renewed!! I'm sooooo happy for you! You are awesome!! As for me, I gotta get my butt back in gear. I've only ran one time in a week. I'm doing another 5K on December 6th, so I gotta get busy. I am definitely going to run tomorrow. Renewed, your post has inspired me. Keep up the good work!

My surgeon used PCOS as a comorbidity. I also had sleep apnea, so that was a biggie. It definitely couldn't hurt to use it. Do you have any other comorbidities??

Hey Kathy. No, they do not do fills under fluroscopy. I wish they did. It's funny you mention that because I talked to my fill nurse about my port. It has shifted a bit. They are still able to access it, so it isn't causing a problem right now. Maybe a stitch popped loose or something. I really don't think that my loss of fluid is completely due to evaporation. All of us on here exercise a lot and no one else seems to have this problem. I dunno, I'm just hoping this fill will last a while. I ran for a little bit last night outside. I couldn't run long because it was pretty cold. My throat is sore this morning too. I'm going to make sure I run today before the sun goes down. Have a great day ya'll!!

Totally agree.....STUPID decision!! The ONLY way she will be able to stay in the game is if she never falls below the yellow line with another blue team member. I was rooting for Colleen. Bummer... On the bright side, Colleen looked amazing!!

They all look great!! Especially Michelle!! And yeah, so does evil Vicky.....I hate that, lol.

Last year I did pretty much all of my Christmas shopping online, the day after Thanksgiving. I did a lot of shopping on the Old Navy website and got some great deals. Well, I got my fill yesterday and I was missing 1cc of fluid. They are still not too worried about it yet. My fill nurse said that my increase in exercise could be a big reason I keep losing fluid. She said that exercising brings your body temperature up, resulting in some evaporation of fluid. Any of ya'll ever lost fluid as a result of exercising??? Anyway, I'm just glad to be feeling some restriction again. I'm slowly sipping my protein shake and I feel restriction....YAY!! I just want to FINALLY get to my sweet spot and stay there. I've had the band for 14 months and I've never had really good restriction that has lasted more than a couple of weeks.

Dr. John Bagnato - Bagnato Bandits

I went to the meeting. I really enjoyed it. The speaker was great. I hope they continue getting speakers like that. He talked about the emotional and mental side of our journey. I was very impressed. I got my much needed fill today! I'm soooo hoping this fill will last a while. I lost about 1cc of fluid since Sept 9th. They are still not too worried about it. Leslie said that my increase in exercise could be responsible for it, or at least some it. Exercising a lot makes your body temperature rise more, resulting in fluid evaporation. So, ya'll keep your fingers crossed that this one will last and I'll drop some weight. Have a great day Bandits!! -
Congrats on the new job Mamato!! That's awesome!! Glad your hubby is doing better too!! I have had a crazy busy weekend. We decided to try to get most of our Christmas shopping done over the weekend. We shopped till we dropped, lol. We still have to buy for our parents and our DS. We took care of all our neices, nephews, etc. We got a lot accomplished. I haven't ran since Monday. I will run tomorrow. I'm getting a fill, thank goodness. It's so overdue. I've gained so much weight....it's ridiculous!! I'm very anxious to see how much fluid I've lost this time. I'm pretty sure I have a slow leak and will eventually have to have surgery to fix it. Anyway, hopefully I'll be back at my ticker weight soon.

LOL! You are too funny girl! Sorry you still aren't sleeping well. Maybe the benadryl will help. You've been such a good patient. Can't wait till you can start running again. Oh, I bought the nike+ system over the weekend. Now I just have to save up for the ipod nano, lol. I can't wait to start using it!! -
Renewed....congrats on the 15 minute mile!! That's great! You'll be running before you know it!!
-
LOL....cool. It's been quite a while since I've been to Atlanta. I'm a good 4 hours away from there. I went Christmas shopping there about 5 years ago and haven't been there since. Atlanta is like the "New York" of Georgia, lol. It's a very big city compared to where I live. Hope you have a great time!
