    Couch to 5k.....come join me!!

Hello all my C25K buddies! I hope ya'll had a very merry Christmas! It's been a super busy week for me. We had soooo many relatives to meet with this week....but it was worth it, lol. We had a wonderful Christmas! Kathy, I'm looking forward to doing some Nike+ challenges. Maybe it's just what I need to get motivated again. I haven't ran in over a month now....I'll probably have to start back at the beginning, lol. I'm like you though, not sure I could keep up with Renewed and Whosya....they are running machines, lol. I'm leaving Sunday and going to Macon for a few days, so I won't be online any until I get back on Tuesday. I already feel like a stranger because I haven't been on here much lately. I hope things calm down a bit after this trip so I can breathe again. Everyone is doing great....keep it up!!
  3. Thanks girl! Hope you had a good Christmas. Oh, and happy belated birthday. Talk to you later.

  5. Hey Donna! Thanks for checking on me. I've just been super busy with Christmas coming up and haven't been online much. I haven't been doing so hot on weight loss lately. As soon as Christmas is over, it's back to the gym...pronto. Thanks again for checking on me. Talk to you later.

Renewed, we read the Christmas story each year too. It's been a tradition in my family for a long time. We go over to my mom and dad's on Christmas day and we always read the Christmas story from the bible before opening gifts there. It's been a special tradition for me and I hope it will be for my son too. What a neat idea about getting 3 gifts....very cool!

Kathy, it's the same for us this year. I didn't get to spend near as much as I usually do. We've been living on one income for almost 3 years now, and this has been the hardest year yet. We are focusing on celebrating Jesus' birth and family too. We always do, but even more so this year. I can't believe Christmas is less than a week away...time is flying by.
  8. Thanks for the sweet picture comment. Hope you have a wonderful day!

Well, I'm a weirdo too then, lol. I would much rather have Jillian. I'm not a Bob fan, at all. Bob seems to care too much about having all blue team members in the finals than their actual health to me. I'm just glad Heba didn't make the finale, because she would have won.

Dr. John Bagnato - Bagnato Bandits

Hey Mia! I'm doing pretty good. I got a fill a few weeks ago. I had gained 10 lbs!!! I've lost 9 of those 10 pounds so far. I've been watching my carbs. I'm just ready to get to Onederland!! Your welcome Jeannie! I know what you mean....I had hoped to be in Onederland by now too. Hey Brina! Just give Terri a holler and let her know that you are not getting the newsletter. She'll fix it for you. I've already deleted mine or I would forward you a copy. There's no fee. If you go ahead and call Terri, she might could send you the December one now. Good to hear from you!

I'm with ya'll!! I haven't been running and tomorrow I will just flippin' do it!! I have been doing with eating though. I'm still doing low carb, but giving myself one "treat" per week. My "treat" day was Saturday and to my surprise, it wasn't hard for me to get back in the grove at all. I will weigh again on Friday, but last time I checked, I was one pound above my ticker weight. I've lost 9 of the 10 pounds I gained!! I've been soooo busy. I had some sort of event EVERYDAY last week and this week is pretty much the same...busy, busy, busy. Anyway, I'm going to try my hardest to run tomorrow!! Thanks for the pep talk ya'll!

Albany GA bandsters - speak up...

lojo~ I never had to swallow the chalk stuff. Not sure about everyone else though. I'm glad you are doing okay. Welcome countrysunbh! Check out the Bagnato Bandits forum. Everyone usually posts in that forum. We haven't used this thread in a while, lol. Here's the link --> Bagnato Bandits - Lap Band Surgery and Lap Band Discussion Forum
  16. Hi Sheri and welcome!! Many people can't eat bread and Pasta because it gets stuck and it's just too hard to bother with. I think it varies from person to person. I've been banded for over a year now and I've pretty much always been ABLE to eat bread and pasta, but most of the time I choose not to because I try to watch my carbs. Believe me, you'll find out which foods you can and cannot tolerate, lol. Scrambled eggs are hard for me to eat most of the time. Again, welcome and good luck to you!!

    Low Carb Recipies

I made this for dinner tonight and it was sooooo good. I've been watching my carbs and I came up with this today. It turned out really good. The chicken just fell apart when I took it out....sooooo tender! Crock-pot Shredded Chicken 4 chicken breasts (I used frozen) 1- 24oz can diced tomatoes, or crushed 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar 5 tbsp soy sauce 3 tbsp Splenda (or sugar if you prefer) 1 onion, chopped In a bowl, pour in tomatoes (I crushed them with a potato masher). Add vinegar, soy sauce, and splenda and mix together well. Place the chicken breast in the bottom of the crock-pot and top it with the chopped onion. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken and cook on low for about 7 hours. I flipped the chicken breasts once during cooking. Shred the chicken and spoon a little of the sauce on top. Enjoy!!

Anyone watch Ruby on the style network?

I've seen a couple of the shows. I saw the one where her ex-boyfriend came to see her. I enjoyed the shows and I agree, she seems like a genuine person. I'm rooting for her to rock it!!

    Are you making Christmas cookies?

Well, I'm not making Cookies, but I'll be making some candies. I ALWAYS make chocolate covered Ruffles potato chips (only half dipped in chocolate). Sounds strange, but it's really good. My family begs for them every year. This year, my BIL asked me to make my homemade toffee....so it looks like I'll be making that too. I'm low carbing and have been doing really good. I'm not craving sugar anymore and I'd hate to mess that up. It's going to be hard to resist all the candy but I am going to try. No promises though, lol..... Sorry, I don't know any healthy cookie recipes. I know lots of fattening ones though, lol. Good luck with the cookies.

If I'm not mistaken, Heba weighed about 50 pounds more than Michelle. I think Heba started out around 294 and Michelle was around 245 or so. I wonder who is going to make the finale. It would be hilarious if Ed made it, cause I'm sure he gave at least half, if not all, of his precooked meals to Heba. I hope Michelle blows them all out of the water! I get sick to my stomach thinking about Vicky winning.

Thanks for the recap Gloucester. I was sooooo mad that I missed the first half. A local Christmas concert took the place of the first hour. Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas and all, but why did they have to show it THEN. Ughhh. Anyway, thanks again for filing me in. I hope Vicky doesn't win either! I'm really hoping it's Michelle!! I would rather Heba or Ed win than Vicky though. I do have to say that Heba should have lost more weight during her time on the ranch. I mean, she was quite a bit bigger than the rest of the women and they've lost bigger percentages than her. Michelle lost the biggest percentage of total weight loss while at the ranch. I just don't see Ed winning either. He hasn't made much of an effort, if you ask me. I was disappointed in the men this year. They just didn't put up good numbers this season. GO MICHELLE!!!!!
  24. Hey Julie! Just checked out your album and you look GREAT!! Congrats to you for all your hard work!

Was it a 2 hour show tonight? If so, I missed the first half. A local Christmas program was on from 8:00-9:00. Can someone tell me what happened in the first half????
