Same for me...I can't keep up with Renewed and Whosya, lol! My goal is to see just how far I can push myself and try to get in as many miles as possible. Let's keep up the good work guys!!
-
We loved the movie!! I'm ready to see it again, lol. Let me know what you think about it.

Today- 3.38 mile run (no walking today...YAY!) 30 minutes Zumba
-
I'm on a runners high right now!! I ran 3.38 miles straight today!! It didn't take me as long as I thought it would to bounce back from my exercising break..YAY!! I'm still a really slow runner but endurance is what I'm focusing on. Have a great day ya'll!

LOL Leslie! What a sight that must have been. I've never ventured into the sauna room. I thought about trying it, but I dunno... Today- 2.82 mile run/walk

Renewed and Whosya.....WOW! Ya'll are so close. I can tell this is going to be a close one! I went to the Y this afternoon and was about 1/2 mile into my run and my ipod just shut off completely....I have no idea what happened. Anyway, I finally got it to come back on and I had to start a whole new workout...just my luck, lol. Anyway, I ran 1.5 miles straight and then did walk/run intervals the rest of the time. That's furtherest I ran straight since my 2 month "vacation". I did a total of 2.32 (well 2.82 counting the 1/2 mile that I lost). This is soooo fun and it's keeping me motivated to move!

Okay, I've been playing with this recipe, trying to find a substitute for the pumpkin. Here's what I made today... 1.5 c. reduced sugar yellow cake mix 1.5 c. Cookies and cream Protein powder 10 oz Oikos plain greek yogurt (mixed with a little splenda and vanilla extract) splash of egg subsitute (probably about the same amount as 1 egg) The greek yogurt added 30 more grams of protein. It did give the muffins a teeny tiny bit of tang....not bad though. Overall I thought they turned out well. They were a little fluffier than the others. I liked the flavor of the batch I made with RS brownie mix, but they turned out soooooo dense. I almost PB'ed the last one I ate (and I've only pb'ed twice since being banded). I'm thinking of using SF chocolate pudding next time and see what happens. I love making these though. I freeze them and usually thaw one out in the morning while I'm drinking my coffee. I bet I have 30 in my freezer, lol. Thanks for posting this recipe Mac! I've really enjoyed these little muffins and enjoyed playing around with the recipe.

WTG Kathy!!! Great run!! Question: When ya'll are doing a new workout, on the nike+, do ya'll do a basic workout or distance? I've been choosing basic... Lyn, you will love the nike+!! Good luck on the job!! I'm praying you get it!!

Me too LMJ! I thought she was acting very self-centered and I didn't like her attitude. She insinuated that their friendship was on the line. Her friend seemed a little like a push over too....I dunno, but I got the same vibe. No, I don't think you're reading too much into it. I thought the same thing.

I made this for dinner tonight and it was sooooo good. I've been watching my carbs and I came up with this today. It turned out really good. The chicken just fell apart when I took it out....sooooo tender! 4 chicken breasts (I used frozen) 1- 24oz can diced tomatoes, or crushed 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar 5 tbsp soy sauce 3 tbsp Splenda (or sugar if you prefer) 1 onion, chopped In a bowl, pour in tomatoes (I crushed them with a potato masher). Add vinegar, soy sauce, and splenda and mix together well. Place the chicken breast in the bottom of the crock-pot and top it with the chopped onion. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken and cook on low for about 7 hours. I flipped the chicken breasts once during cooking. Shred the chicken and spoon a little of the sauce on top. Enjoy!!

I've been thinking about trying this recipe with meatballs instead of chicken. I would probably add just a little tomato paste to thicken it just a bit. If I try it, I'll let ya'll know how it turns out.

hehe...I have no idea. Can't be too bad though. It may be slightly high in sodium (from the soy sauce), but other than that it should be pretty low in cals. Great to see you posting again girl!

Couch to 5k is an excellent program!! That would take care of the cardio part of working out. Jump roping is a good cardio exercise too. Not sure if you have stairs inside your home or steps outside, but running up and the steps is a good workout too. Also, you can use household items for workouts....half-gallon milk jugs refilled with Water make great weights. Some people use Soup cans, but they do nothing for me. You could also do squats, lunges, crunches, push-ups....the possibilities are endless. Go old school!

Well, I didn't run today. I'm giving my foot a rest today and I'll try again tomorrow. It feels a little better tonight, so hopefully it will be good for tomorrow. Everyone is doing so well....let's keep it up!!!
-
That sounds good...I'll weigh on Monday! 100 miles??? You go girl! If anyone can do it, you can!
-
Renewed....I wanted to weigh soooo bad today! When I'm on track, I usually weigh everyday. Weighing only once a week is going to be hard!
-
I think this is going to be the best season yet! I too think this is the first season where the people actually look their weight. It's good to see some really big people on the show this time....especially the women. I'm really excited about this season. Can't wait to watch it next Tuesday!!

Great NSV Renewed! You and Whosya are kicking butt on the challenge! I can relate to the all or nothing mentality. When I'm doing good, I am sooooo focused and dedicated. But if I "fall off the wagon" it's all over....I really need to work on that because we can't be perfect all the time, it's just not possible. If I run today, it probably won't be very far. My foot has been bothering me since yesterday. It's probably because I went from not running at all, to doing 4 miles a day. I'll just have to see later. Have a great ya'll!

Took the day off Sunday. Yesterday- 4.1 mile run/walk Today- 4.4 mile run/walk
-
I ran on the treadmill yesterday and mine was only off by five hundredths of a mile (0.05)....that's close enough I guess.
-
This sounds really good! I'll have to give it a try!
-
Okay...I weighed this morning and I am up 8 lbs from my ticker weight. I fixing to change it. Now I am more motivated than ever to get back to that 100 lb weight loss again!
-
Thanks Renewed! I'm sooo glad to see all of us motivated again. I love this thread and I'm so excited that we are all back on track!!
-
Thanks Kathy! I walked a good bit of it, but I'm soooo excited to be moving again.

This Nike+ thing is too cool! I just logged my first run for the challenge. I think this is really gonna help me stay motivated for a while. As soon as this one is over, we need to plan on setting another one up so we don't have any down time. My trainer buddy from the Y wants me to sign up for a 10k in March! He's gonna do the half-marathon and says I should do the 10k. I really don't think I can be ready for a 10k by March. I told him I would think about it though. Let's make this a great week guys!
