    Hey everyone! Renewed wanted me to let ya'll know that she is home and the procedure went well. They decided to do it at the hospital and it was a little more involved than they thought it would be. They did some revision on both sides in the front. She was starting to hurt so she is resting now. Hope you heal soon Renewed!!

    Yesterday- B- nothing L- part of a chicken bowl from KFC S- yogurt and granola D- rest of the chicken bowl Today- B- nothing, slept in L- oatmeal w/ peanut butter and SF maple syrup D- chicken and broccoli casserole S- maybe an apple or something I'm getting a fill tomorrow...YAY! I sooooo need it!

    biggest loser - '09

    I understand how hard it is to stick with the lifestyle change and how easy it is to fall off the bandwagon. We all do. I sympathize with anyone trying to make a change that big. However, he came on the show with his friend (as a team). IMO, he was being selfish. If it were me, I wouldn't have said anything and I would have stuck it out FOR MY FRIEND, even if I didn't want to be there. They made a commitment to each other and IMO, he didn't do his part. Having said that, I really do hope they both succeed. I'm looking forward to seeing them both in the finale.

    Okay okay...I didn't. LOL. Pink eye is better so I will hit the gym this evening. Carol...accident prone is a good word to describe me, lol. I've had 3 different injuries from running outside....a twisted knee, and 2 twisted ankles. I'm givng up on running outside for now. Although....I am thinking of doing a 5k this month, so we'll see.

    Sorry Whosya...took yesterday and today off. I have pink eye. Didn't want to risk spreading it at the gym and we all know what happens when I run outside, lol. I promise to hit it hard tomorrow.

    Kathy....Have a good trip! We'll miss you. Carol...I second what Kathy said. Even thought you didn't get the time you expected, I'm very proud of you! Don't be so hard on yourself! You finished and you improved your last time. That's what it's all about. Congrats!!

  13. This is my new favorite meal! I used the cinnamon roll flavored oatmeal and added some creamy peanut butter and sugar free maple syrup....DELISH! I eat it all the time, usually more than once a day, lol.

    January 2009 Exercise Challenge

    Today- Treadmill- 3 miles (run/walk intervals) StairMaster- 10 minutes 45 minutes strength training- arms and legs (will do some ab stuff later) Ceradad- Hope your mom heals soon. Whosya- It's AWESOME that your daughter is interested in fitness at her young age! You must be so proud! Luluc- Looks like you are doing great. I'm glad you are cleared to workout. TQUAD- Hope you feel better soon.

    Which comes first? Cardio or Weights?

    Like TQUAD, I do cardio first. Cardio is my main focus right now. I find that if I do weights first, I don't have near as much energy to get through my cardio. I always stretch, then run, then stretch again, then do weight lifting. I dunno if I do the "right" way, but it works for me.

    Renewed...I used to be the same way. It HAD to be all or nothing. For me, I had to deal with my need to be perfect. I always felt like if I ate one little thing that was bad, I had ruined everything, so I would just quit dieting and exercising all together. I guess it was the perfectionist in me (I get it from my mom, lol). It was a mental game for me. It has gradually gotten better, but it's something I battle with all the time. I think you are on the right track by giving yourself a schedule and sticking to it. Just be sure you're not over doing it, so you don't get overwhelmed. If you find that your new schedule is too much, adjust it from week to week until it's right. You have done soooooo well! You are so close to goal and you look absolutely FABULOUS!!!

    Yes, I've tried it and I really like it! I go to the class when I can, but I don't go religiously since I mainly focus on running. It's a lot of fun! It may take you a few classes to learn all the moves, but it's soooo fun. They don't expect you to catch on your first time. Give it a try and just do what you can.

    A Question for Runners

    I was about 260 lbs when I started the couch to 5k. I did have some knee pain at first. I had to start pretty slow, taking plenty of rest days. Eventually I was able to run without the knee pain. I think I just needed to build up the muscles around my knee. I still run pretty slow, about 4.5 mph, but for now I'm just trying to focus on endurance. Don't let your weight stop you. Just take it really slow. Best of luck to you!

    Today- 5 miles on treadmill (ran the first 4 miles, then walked/ran the last mile) DH and I are going to play tennis later tonight too.

    WTG MacMadame!! Great job!! Hello C25K buddies!! I took yesterday off (I soooo needed that, lol) and I felt refreshed this morning. I went to the gym and I ran 4 miles straight!! That is the longest straight run I've ever done!! Then I ended up walking/running one more mile. I won't be able to do that everyday, but it was nice to push myself and know that it's possible.     Thanks. The cardio kickboxing one sounds like something I would like. I'll look into it. Good deal! My body is feeling pretty tired today, but I was debating on whether or not to run. I think I will rest today. Glad you had a good b-day!
