Hey Renewed! Congrats on the weight loss!!! I'm glad ya'll are getting settled in. I think you are heading in the right direction with your exercise strategy. You are almost at goal and weight loss isn't as much of a focus as it used to be. I think the weight training will be good for you. Maybe you could just run a couple of times a week instead of 5-8 miles a day, lol. You know I think you ROCK no matter what you are doing. Good to hear from you girlie! Well, thanks! I don't know if I think of myself as a running success, but I appreciate that, lol. I try my best to run 5 times a weeks, usually 3-5 miles each time. I was doing 5 miles everyday, but since starting low carb I have been doing 3 miles. Low carb seems to be working well for me, but I blew it tonight! We went to Outback and I ate terrible! Anyway, I'll start low carbing again tomorrow. I have to give myself off days every now and then or I'll get burned out with it. Hope you feel better soon! Congratulations! I'm glad you are liking the new job! I'm so excited for you!

Today: B- Atkins strawberry shake L- Salad (lettuce, chicken, mushrooms, bacon bits, cheese, and ranch dressing) S- 1 oz almonds D- 2 scrambled eggs with sauteed onions, peppers, and mushrooms -
I wish we had that around here. I can't even find greek yogurt anymore. When walmart carried Oikos greek yogurt, I stocked up because they usually didn't have many in stock. They haven't had any in a month, so I'm assuming they don't carry it anymore. Sooo frustrating!

Thanks Kathy! Low carb is really helping with the scales. My energy is not where I want it but I'm hoping that will change. Congrats on your run! I'm taking the weekend off and will hit it hard Monday. Have a great weekend!

I agree Kristen.....rest up! Feel better soon! Kathy, you are doing soooo great! I am taking the weekend off. I had another stomach virus yesterday (I think). My stomach has been bothering me a lot lately. I started taking Metformin again and I'm wondering if that is why. I'm not gonna take it for a few days and see if that helps. Whosya.....WE WON!!! YAAYYY! My first Nike+ victory....couldn't have done it without ya Whosya! Renewed....hope the moving is still going well. How is your tummy since the revision??

Hey there my fellow Georgian! Welcome to LBT! Best of luck to you! -
That is a great idea!! I wish my surgeon had something like that. I usually just donate mine. I use to keep my old fat clothes when I did diets before, but not this time. This time is different!

I am trying to cut waaayyyy down on artificial sweeteners and it's HARD! I'm also almost completely cutting sugar out too. I never realized how much artificial sweetener I was taking in. It's in my tea, in my coffee, those little bottled Water flavorings, SF Jello, SF pudding, etc. The only thing I'm not cutting it out on is my low carb Protein drinks. I'm not ready to give those up. Ok, enough rambling. Today- B- Atkins latte shake L- tuna salad S- 1oz almonds D- 4 garlic wings from Beef 'O' Brady's S- LC slim fast or decaf coffee -
Thanks...I was soooo nervous about that commercial, lol. Low carb is just about the only way I lose as well. I fight it tooth and nail, but that's just the way it is. I don't really follow the Atkins diet. I try my best to eat about 20 net carbs a day. That is similar to what the Atkins diet suggest, but I don't eat by their food list. They say not to worry about fat, but I do. I try to eat lean meats cooked with healthy fats, not butter. I'm basically eating lean meats, non starchy veggies. I like eating almonds as snacks. I love yogurt, but it's not really low carb so I've cut it out. If I could find some greek yogurt around here, I would eat that because it's a lot lower in carbs. Walmart used to have some, but they've been out for weeks. Anyway, that's what I do. Good luck with low carbing. Let's keep in touch and cheer each other along. Hey there Oregondaisy! Teriyaki chicken sounds goooood. Is it low carb? I love the teriyaki chicken strips from Zaxby's, but that's out of the question since it's breaded, fried, and dipped in a thick coat of teriyaki...

I agree. STUPID decision!!
-
Hey ParaGirl! (btw, how are you?) You can join me. I started low carbing again yesterday. I've managed to make it though 2 days; lol. I don't know if you are anything like me, but once I eat any amount of sugar...it's all I crave! My cravings have already subsided. Hmmm...ideas for meals. Here are some foods that I eat: eggs grilled chicken and a salad or LC veggies tuna salad and chicken salad (I make mine with Tostito's spinach dip...less calories than mayo and still low carb) ham and turkey wraps (just deli meat and cheese rolled up) grilled fish and veggies pretty much any meats (I prefer lean meats most of the time) Spaghetti squash is a good side dish....love it! cheese is a good snack Walmart has stuffed chicken breasts that are good low carb slim fast or atkins shakes for breakfast HTH

Totally agree....she ROCKS! LOL! I'm with you. I thought it was ridiculous! I mean, Bob doesn't even get THAT upset when one of his own goes home! It's not like he won't get to see them still. GEEZ! I think that's why I tend to favor Jillian. Yeah, she didn't like it, but she didn't go all soap opera on us. She dealt with it and moved on!
