I watch Hannah Montana and High School Musical all the time... and I don't even have a daughter. How embarassing is that?????? -
How do you get used to 'leaving food behind' ?
georgia girl replied to Mrs SmartyPants's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doctor suggested to use a small childrens plate,as mentioned above, and to use a baby fork and spoon, when at home, to help me remember to take smaller bites. Good luck! -

Hi everyone! I had my first fill today and things went great. The nurse said I was doing very well. I've lost a total of 38.5 lbs. I have a 10cc band and she only put 2cc's in it. She said she likes to start out with a small amount and evaluate every two week to see if I need an adjustment. The fill was slightly painful but not too terribly bad. I'm excited to get to start eating solids in a few days (I'm on liquids for 3 days and then I'll progress to solids). Thanks everyone for all the support. -

Yep, "Friends" is my all time favorite tv show ever. No matter how many times i watch it , it never gets old. As I said, I'm a little ashamed about the soap operas, but oh well. -

Okay, here it goes: 1. My husband is the only guy I've ever dated (started dating when I was 14, he was 17 and we married when I was 19) 2. My DH and I made out at Disney World on "It's a small world" ride while we were on a high school choir trip. 3. I love to sing 4. I like to paint trees 5. I've never colored my hair 6. Life-size Barbies freak me out, seriously... scares me to death (had a nightmare once that one was trying to kill me) 7. I'm a reality tv junkie - I watch American Idol religously 8. Ashamed to say I like soap operas (General Hospital and Days of Our Lives) 9. I have all 10 seasons of "Friends" and I have watched all 10 seasons at least 20 times. (How YOU doin....) love that Joey! -

Renewedhope, I'm so glad to hear your doing well. Glad to hear the pounds are dropping, but don't get discouraged if the scales go up or don't go down when you start mushies. Mine went up a little for a coulple of weeks but came back down when i started exercising regularly. I get my fill in 2 days, whooohoooo!!!!! Good luck at your appt and let us know how everything is going. Pamela -
No way!!!! Your pictures give me hope. I remember when i was just lurking around on this website, before I even joined, I saw your pictures and I was sooo inspired. Your before picture is very similar to what my body looks like now. I think you are fabulous and if other people are jealous of your sucess, they should be ashamed!!! We're all here to support each other!!

Had no clue what T-Tapp was. I had to look it up on the net. It seems similar to yoga. I'm not sure that i could bend like that right now, but maybe after i lose more weight.

georgia girl replied to PrincessJen80's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hey, it's Georgia Girl. I just got finished reading your reply on my thread. Congrats on the surgery coming up. I didn't do a liquid diet, my doctor put me on the Sugar Busters Diet for 2 weeks. I don't think I would have made it on a liquid diet. LOL. But for only 3 days, that not so bad. Good luck. -
Hi Sunshiny, I know how you feel. It took me and hubby 6 years to finally get pregnant. Someone on LBtalk told me that after a 50 lb weight loss you start ovulating. I really it hope everything works out for you. Nov. 15th will be here before ya know it. God bless

Hi Newlife627! I know you're excited and scared all at the same time but just try not to worry too much and focus on how healthy this is going to make you. If it makes you feel better, I had a quick recovery and not a lot of pain. Sooo glad i did this, you will be too. Good luck and keep in touch.

Jeannie, I am doing great!!! I feel like everythings back to normal now...just waiting to get my 1st fill on Nov. 1st. I've been walking almost everyday and actually started jogging a little. I found that the sugar busters diet wasn't all that bad because i still got to have bread and carbs in whole grain form. I'm really excited for you. Thanks for all the support and keep me posted on your progress. God bless!!!! Pamela -
What is helping you succeed right now?
georgia girl replied to maryrose's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
For me it's exercise. I haven't had a fill yet but for the most part i've eaten what i'm supposed to. There have been a couple of times I have eaten something I shouldn't have, but exercising 5 times a week has helped the scale keep going down. -
Hi Pamela, i'm Pamela too. Go to tickerfactory.com and go through the steps to personalize your ticker and copy it then paste it to your signature page. Good luck! Pamela
