You are not alone. I was banded in Sept. 07 and had 100 lbs on my one year bandiversary. I plateued after that and pretty much stayed the same. I was put on a steroid a few months ago and I gained 30 lbs while on it. I developed some of my old eating habits during that time and it's been hard to get back on track. I've been back on track for a couple of weeks now and managed to lose 10 lbs back. It's a daily struggle, but my mind is set to finish this. You can do this. Take it one day at a time and choose to get back on the bandwagon! Good luck to you!

You take 2 caramel corn rice cakes and put 1/4 cup of cool whip free in the middle and freeze it for at least an hour. It's tasty and it's a huge snack. I don't recommend making more than one at a time though. I made up 3 of them and put the other 2 in the freezer and by the next day, the rice cake had lost it's crunch. So I suggest making them about an hour before snack. -
Took Sunday and Monday off. Today- week 2 c25k, may go for a walk with hubby later too Where is everyone?

I bought a cook book over the weekend called Hungry Girl. This girl makes all our favorite recipes in low calorie, low fat versions. I made the salsa pumpkin Soup for lunch today and it was DELISH! So, here it is... Ingredients 4 cups fat-free chicken or vegetable broth One 15-ounce can pure pumpkin (I used Libby's) One 15-ounce can black Beans, drained and rinsed 1 cup canned sweet corn kernels 3/4 cup salsa 1 tablespoon minced garlic (I used a little garlic powder instead) 1 teaspoon chili powder 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin Directions In a medium pot, bring broth and spices to a simmer. (if you are using the minced garlic, spray the pot with a little cooking spray and cook garlic for a minute before adding broth and spices). Add pumpkin and mix well. Add remaining ingredients, stir, and bring soup to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes. Enjoy! Makes 4 very generous servings! (I would guess 1.5 cups or so, maybe even a little more) Per Serving: 177 calories, 1g fat, 991mg sodium, 35g carbs, 8.5g Fiber, 8g sugars, 9g Protein

I paid $14 for it. It's a pretty big book, so I think it's worth it. Since I can't eat french fries anymore (gets stuck EVERY time), onion rings have become my addiction, lol. I can't wait to try the baked onion ring recipe! She uses Fiber One Bran Cereal (ground into a crumb consistency) to bread lots of foods. I bought some at the grocery store and already grinded up a big batch of it. I think I will make the fiber one onion rings tonight to go with my stuffed chicken breast! -

Yesterday was my eat out/ high calorie day. Yesterday: B- water L- Applebees- french onion soup, bbq chicken salad (ate very little of it, mostly the chicken and croutons-did not like the rest of it) D- Chinese Buffet- 2 crab rangoons, mini eggroll, 1 bite sesame chicken, one bite lo mein, some strawberry shortcake dessert I bought a cookbook over the weekend called Hungry Girl. I saw her on Rachael Ray one day and thought it would be a good cookbook. In one chapter, she does fast food remakes and I'm really excited to try some of them. I made a salsa pumpkin soup today from it and it was soooo good.....and only 173 calories for a BIG bowl. I may try the baked onion rings tonight! -

I keep asking them about that and they don't seem real concerned about it. I had not been in about 3 months. It's weird because when I had it checked 3 months ago, it was all accounted for. Sometimes fluid is missing and sometimes it's not. IF I have a leak, it must be a pretty slow one. Or, there could be a leak at the port area and maybe all the fluid isn't actually going in. Uggghh, I don't know. She said they would start checking it every month and if it ever starts being more than 1 cc missing, they want to do some tests. It's frustrating because I don't think I've ever had TRUE restriction. This fill seems like the closest I've had to it, but I don't know...

Ran week 2 of C25K yesterday. So far nothing today, but I may go for a walk later this evening.

Ebony, I am same way with carbs. I blame it on the PCOS. I've always lost better while watching my carbs. I don't count carbs anymore, but I've started really watching them and trying to eat only good carbs since my fill. I've lost about 6 lbs since MOnday. I'm sure most of it is Water weight, but it's good to see the scale moving again. I have a long way to go and I intend to get there! You are doing great girl! Keep it up!

I have uses salsa before too. If I don't have any onions or peppers in the house, I sometimes mix some salsa in with the tomatoes. It's a quick and easy way to add some flavor and heat. -
Congrats Ebony! You are almost finished with the program! I completed the program a while back and actually ran my 1st 5k in November of last year. I have had some health problems and was put on a steroid for 6 weeks and gained a lot of weight and wasn't able to exercise. So, I wasn't able to do any exercise for a few months and now that I am able again, I'm having to start over from scratch. Starting over sucks, but I am very thankful that I am able to workout now. Good luck with your 5k! I know you will do great!

I don't really have a recipe I go by. I usually just throw it together and it's usually different each time. I use black beans instead of kidney beans most of the time. Lean ground beef, crushed tomatoes (because DH doesn't like chunks of tomatoes), onions, green bell peppers, a little cumin, chili powder, worcestershire sauce, etc. That's usually the basis of my chili. Sometimes I use the mexican tomatoes instead of crushed too. I found a pumpkin chili recipe here on LBT that was really good. Sorry I don't have an exact recipe for you. Today: B- LC slim fast L- a stove top stuffing quick cup S- instant cinnamon roll oatmeal D- 1/2 bowl of chili from Beef-O-Brady's -
Hey Ebony! I'm glad to be back too! What week are you on with the c25k? I am only on week 2. I plan on doing a 5k on December 6th.

Mary, glad you are getting back on track. Hope your foot heals quickly. Take care!

I agree, plan ahead. Do you have a day that you could make up some meals and freeze them? Chili would freeze well. Sometimes I make a pot a chili and freeze them in tiny individual containers. That way I can just thaw and heat. Works well on days I don't have time to prepare something. Just a thought... -
Been lazy on posting, lol. Been a litle lazy with working out too! I got a fill yesterday and I needed it sooooo bad. I am back on track now, so here it goes. Today- Day 1/Week 2 of Couch to 5K.
