Depression after the Gastric Sleeve
KC VSG replied to BigTink2LilTink's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Depression is very real. I think going through such a major transformation could definitely trigger a tidal wave of emotions and stress leading to depression, which is unfortunate because this really should be a joyous time! Keep in contact with your Dr. and hopefully working together this shall pass! Best of luck! -
I can see during the first few weeks but why couldn't you down the road when your pouch is healed? It doesn't seem to make any sense to me how it can hurt you after your healed.....

KC VSG replied to akreese02's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm glad to hear people who took the shorter times didn't have any issues. I have to go back to work at 10 days post op and have been so nervous about it. I've seen people say they took off 6 wks! -

Looking good! How'd your TT experience go? -
Do I have to tell my employer or HR manager what I'm doing? I didn't want to tell anyone about the vsg surgery I plan on having with Dr. Garcia. We have pto (paid time off) not sick/vacation days. I am planing on using 7 of my pto days in March to have the surgery. My only concern would be if God forbid there are unexpected complications that keep me out longer. I have a desk job with no lifting required other than picking up the phone and feel like even with a little pain I should be able to push through, but what's your guys take on this?

I've never had any problems with my gallbladder (to my knowledge) but I've been considering asking the surgeon to just remove it when I'm being sleeved. Has anyone done this or thought about it?
