I'm 12 days out from surgery and just starting to feel hungry. I've got 4 weeks before my first fill. I was freaking out because they tell you that you can only eat 1/4 cup at a time and I can down an 8 oz protein drink real quick. I almost feel too good for my own comfort? I know, stop worrying so much!

Of course I was on all liquids but I also wonder if it's because of no wheat. I'm adding foods VERY slowly because I think I may have some allergies. I have been far less congested than normal. I tried 1 percemt Milk in my Carnation instant Breakfast no sugar and it went immediately through me so soy milk it is... The dietician told me not to take my chewable fiber but I disobeyed her and cut the 2 tablets into 4 pieces each and ate them throughout the day and that gave me some relief and a 4 lb more loss. My only complaint is the itchiness of my incisions near my waistband . My energy is good and I feel almost normal except I'm eating FAR less than I would have. Banded 10-05-07

What to do with all of our old clothing??
kladybug replied to blahblahblah's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I've been waiting to be banded for over a year and have resisted buying clothes. Does anyone need any size 26-28 rags? -
My waistbands have been bothering my incisions so I've been wearing dresses. cute and comfy!

I never had to stop eating before surgery. Liquids for one week, soft foods for 2. I think it's funny how they are pushing us to eat protein and telling us to eat soft foods at the same time??? I have the book Weight loss surgery for dummies and they reccomend Clear liquids for as little as one day to a month after surgery. My surgeon said one day. Full liquids from day one until day 8. Purees from day 8-14. Soft foods day 14- first fill. My fill appointment is 6 weeks from surgery then it's back to liquids again. It IS very confusing that surgeons differ so much. But A month out of surgery we should all be able to eat anything. I had a scrambled egg for breakfast and guacamole for lunch yesterday Yummo!

Believe you'll be okay, It's worked for me!

My pants are baggy around the legs but the waistband is bugging my incisions so I can't tell if they are feeling smaller yet. My wedding ring is looser! I resisted getting it let out for 10 years, Now I'm glad! Of course I'm expecting my boobs to shrink before my enormous tummy! I haven't done measurements and need to!

Well, I was eating enormous amounts of food and I went back to work 4 days post surgery.

I love lowfat vanilla soy milk! I've been mixing it with carnation instant breakfast no sugar and it's great!

I was banded on Oct. 5th. My Dr. has me on liquids only until next Sat. Then I can move on to soft foods only for 2 more weeks. I am VERY prone to heartburn and have continued taking my pepcid daily. Maybe the tomatoes(very acidy) gave you heartburn in your tiny pouch? I am burping quite often too, DH says it's gross but what can you do? I like the idea about the rocker, we have one in the garage, I'll have to beg for it's return! Karen

I'm 2 days out and sore but not unbearably so. I have a package of frozen corn in my shorts! It's honestly better than I thought it would be!
