I live with the best dog in the world. I'm a bit of a geek, a Scorpio, love scifi, video games, action movies, stand-up comedy, I work hard, and love naps.

Orientation 6/13/14: picked Dr. Geoffrey Roelant, MD (http://northfloridaweightloss.com/surgeons/geoffrey-roelant/) and the sleeve.

My story:
I have PCOS, scoliosis, asthma and have had congestive heart failure as well as two cases of tachycardia that resulted in having to have heart surgeries in the past. I fight my obesity every day, I weigh over 300 lbs. It seems like the harder I fight it, the harder it fights back. My highest weight was over 340 (I can't say exactly what my highest weight was because my scale only goes to 339, so needless to say the day I stepped on it and saw 338.5 it was a happy day) after months of hard work I'm teetering in the 320's. After 20 years of fighting this battle I'm excited to learn about the sleeve procedure. I am concerned about my future health and so glad this surgery is available to people who need it. I am in the beginning phases, so here's to hoping for a smooth speedy road to surgery!

Some of the things I look forward to when I am lighter, healthier and feel better are:
Traveling to places such as Africa and Australia and enjoying it.
Being able to walk around places without swelling up like a I ate some of the wrong gum at the Willy Wonka factory.
Being able to take my dog for long walks and even jogs.
Fewer prescriptions.
Not being scared chairs are not going to hold my weight when I sit down.
Not hearing rude whispers and comments about my weight.
Not constantly receiving unsolicited advice about how to lose weight.
Being able to shop for clothes anywhere and have a selection of the store larger than a postage stamp to chose from.
Not having to make sure my shirts are at least 29+ inches long.
Not feeling bad about photos, such as not wanting to be in group photos or not allowing people to take photos of me at gatherings.
Not feeling like people are judging me by what I eat.
Grocery shopping without feeling like I'm being judged.
Hopefully a much better dating pool.
Being able to travel places I've always wanted to go. (Maybe already said that.)
FINALLY FEELING HEALTHY!

I love this website, it is truly amazing. I love the people on here, you are all so supportive and informative. Keep being awesome! =D
