    Restaurant Meals?

I agree with most... Protein based meals are the best...for me. Ceaser salads with chicken. Pork, fish, sushi, steak (well chewed) steamed veggies (even grilled veggies)... NO BREAD...it fills you up, and gives you no benefit. I try to eat selectively, and taste every bit. Question though....What do you mean by "PB" ????? Thanks.

What can I snack on ?

I would HIGHLY siggest Jell-O (no sugar added one)... It fills me up, and helps with the sweet tooth. Good luck

  6. Bonjour / Hello. I was banded June 21st 2005 by Dr. Christou in Montreal...He is awesome. And not to mention his wonderful support staff...who do most of the managing, support and details. Anyway, here I am June 26th and have already dropped 11.5lbs...I still can't believe how easy it's been. I feel great, I am full and life will be better. I can't weight (LOL) to give up my pain medication for my knees and lower back... MERCI buckets (beaucoup). I trully enjoy being on this site...it's helpfull, enjoyable and there are alot of pleasant people....GREAT !

    Sleeping and Sneezing

Weird Question time.... I have been worried sick about sleeping on my stomach since I got banded June 21st...Does anyone know about precautions I should take ? Also, I (unfortunately) have some allergies...which cause me to sneeze....Should I be concerned so close to my banding date ? Thanks. MB

Will anyone ever notice my weight loss?

You know what...YOUR ENTIRE family may be jealous...Anyways....who are you losing weight for ????....YOURSELF. You've done more in 2.5 months then most people do in a lifetime. KEEP it UP...TRUST me...they will notice...and if not...WHO CARES....it's all about you and your better you. Keep it up ! mb

    Reflux - GastroEsophageal Reflux Disease

I have been prescribed Prevacid 15gm once a day...It works GREAT. I didn't really know about this drug, because in Canada there is no commercials as in the US, so the only I knew was Nexium....the doc told me to try both...and Prevacid was better...for ME. Good luck. Another option...which is also good for Calcium (and small reflux distrurbances) is TUMS with Calcium MB
  11. I just got banded June 21st...Wow wow wow...what a feeling. The 1st 2 days were a litlle rough, however, I got over them pretty good. Today I actually went on a 1hr bike ride with my wife and child...Wow wow wow. Like you, I have my band ALWAYS on my mind...for now I guess. I have already dropped 8 lbs...293, down to 285. I feel great, not to "tired" out from the starvation, and I've gotten the OK to start "mushees". So I ate an egg this morning, had Veal puree for lunch and en Ensure for a snack. Hopefully this feeling keeps up, and my bad stays on my mind. We'lle see. MB

    New Comer/Surgery Scheduled

Pam, I am also new to the site :Bunny ... as you I find it very helpfull to prepare myself. I am getting the big intervention June 21st....I cannot weight (hahahaha)...Anyhow, I've been "under a few times for Knee surgeries and others...DO NOT woryy...it's like taking a nap and waking up a little groggy...that's all. Drink, breath deep, walk and talk....That's what I found the most usefull after "going under". GOOD LUCK and we'll write you later:)
