There are many organs they can look at. Why don't you ask the doctor what he is looking for?

Insurance companies can be the worst part of any surgery. I'm sorry to hear that yours is making this more difficult. Stick with it and make that appeal! It will be worth it! Good Luck!

Stomach Growling
NYCkindofgirl replied to taylorj7's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mine still growls if I give it something it doesn't like. At lunch today I had three potato chips, and it has been a very angry tummy! -

I had all those symptoms one day last week, and it was determined to be an allergic reaction. I had tried a Quest bar for the first time that day and had the reaction shortly after that. Have you tried any new foods?

Immediate stall?
NYCkindofgirl replied to llamawithawhip's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Hi! You must be so frustrated. The only thing I could suggest is that you stay away from your scale. After surgery your body has some adjusting to do while it is healing. Some people retain Water, which shows up on a scale as weight. Water is actually heavier than fat. Personally, I did not get on a scale until my first follow-up visit with the surgeon. Good luck and don't give up! -

Talk to your nutritionist about the consequences of not getting enough Protein before you make this decision. In my personal history, not since this surgery, but on various "diets" before, I would end up anemic, or lose my hair, and/or stop getting my periods, etc. I like missbrown30's suggestion of using the shakes, that something I'll keep in mind if I find I can't eat enough protein.
