Oh ok! Some insurances require A 6 month superived diet where u show u did not do well on it. The website says it's required, but many have said they didn't have to show that
-
Did they require the diet part?
-
That's one of the reasons I got on here was to see others experiences. Tricare Is a military insurance so I know it's widely used. I'm just not having much luck getting it figured all out yet
-
Thanks Trevor mimi that mess was from the insurance company lol that's why it sucks so bad lol! If the rules are 6 months I'm so ok with that. But I keep hearing from others it's not :/
-
I have come to realize that lol you would think that with insurance things would be pretty to the point and in black and white. They were saying so many diff things than what the website had.
-
See that's part of the problem for me. If you tell me I have 9 months to prepare I can totally live with that and do what I have to Do. My problem is I have some saying that I don't have a wait time I just have to go get it done and others say no 6 months of dieting and tests. I know I sounded impatient lol bit honestly the time isn't as big of an issue as not knowing is for me. My bmi is incredibly high! I'm at like 55 or 56 ????... soooo mad at myself at this point

One problem I'm having is no one seems to have a define requirement with my insurance and thay includes people that work for the insurance company lol I have tricare reserve select and I keep hearing thay some people didn't have to do a 6 month diet but the Web site says u have to! Some say you can go to a military hospital and skip many steps and some say they didnt. ???? so I'm trying to figure it all out but I've called the insurance twice and got two different replies from the workers!! So frustrating. I guess I should be thankful they atleast cover if

Is it not ridiculous! I don't go up to people and say omg u could be a model if u didn't have that hairy mole! Or omg u would be handsome if one eye wasn't bigger than the other. Rude people suck ???? -

Top 10 things you want to be able to do after the surgery
mal0712 posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I read something similar on the post op side but I wondered what were the top ten things/ goals some of you have for your post op self! Mine 10. Go swimming in the ocean without feeling like a whale 9. Go to family get togethers without small kids staring at my chubbiness 8. Shop at actual stores with confidence. 7. Be able to eat without feeling like the world is staring at me. 6. Look in the mirror and see a face and body that doesn't make me depressed. 5. Take 100 selfies and love them. As of now I have maybe 4... Total. 4. Ride on an airplane. Won't do it now. I'm sparing myself the embarrassment. 3. Buy panties ( SEXY ONES) from a normal store that fit. 2. Go on a vacation as the "healthy Mal" 1. I want to stop lying to my husband and kids. They want to go to amusement parks and cruises...and I tell them I'm scared of heights... When I'm not... I just know I won't fit on the rides and it makes me feel like a huge failure... -
Well I took my kids to Dollywood.... Couldn't ride a ride.... I did get on the river rampage.... With a lap belt extender.... I wanted to die right then and there when they handed it to me....I can't believe I've gotten this bad....
-
I almost ruined the trip because I was so cranky. And it wasn't because the place wasn't fun!!! It was because I couldn't enjoy a single thing there. ????

It is so amazing reading everyone's list. I can't believe how similar the struggles are with all of us!!!! Very inspiring -
Well I will be diving into the seminar in July!!! One question I have about the pre- surgery weight loss ( my insurance requires me to lose 10% of my total weight) does that weight start from When I went to my PCP or the surgeon?
-
I feel great. I had my surgery In Mexico. Everything had went great. If you go to Mexico to have the surgery, most of the time that's out of pocket correct?
-
I'm in west tn... It's lonely on this side of the state lol
-
I yaw!! I was wondering a ballpark figure on how much a full body lift may cost?

Im a little worried!
mal0712 replied to Amour.de.lionne's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
For me it's not a matter of the love not being there. He shows me and tells me he loves me all the time. It's more of a worry if the attraction will be there. He loves chubby girls. That's all he has ever dated. And he is a tall fit guy in the military. So we get the " what the hell is he doing with her" kinda looks :/. -
I'm going to the seminar July the 8th!!!!!!!! A lot sooner than I thought it would be ))

Hi everyone! I have just decided this past week to pursue weight loss surgery (possibly the sleeve). I can't take hearing how pretty I would be if I lost weight another time. My final straw was lying to my husband..... He is taking me on a cruise for our anniversary... We were deciding on flying or driving. I lied to him... I told him I was scared of flying so we agreed We would drive to the port.... I can't take any of this anymore. I want a life of less fear and more LIVING. I just pray that I will qualify and not have any issues getting this done. I need help!!!
-
I would be mad about that for a whole month lol
-
My doc only does two seminars a month. I have to call and find out when I will be able to go. Can't get here quick enough lpl
