I do not agree with your dr. The band is meant to work with hard protein. You sound too tight to me. If I were you, I would get a slight unfill. Even having the smallest amount of saline taken out can make a huge difference. It is NOT normal to be able to eat a minimal amount of real food! Thank you for that reply...I agree...I do not feel healthy when I'm dropping weight from not eating. It makes me feel like I'm going to put it right back on. Plus when I work out I get very tired and light headed. I really don't want them to take any fluid out, because its like a very fine line between too much and not enough for me. Did I mention how much I hate shakes? I JUST WANT A FREAKIN HAMBURGER!!!

I have a question for the whole group. Here is my situation...I lost fast for the first 6 months. Then I quit losing and have stabalized for the last 6 months. I still have 50 pounds to lose. I know I would do better on low carb, but I really have a problem eating veggies. I get stuck with lettuce, broccoli, green beans that aren't mush and carrots. I can't live on meat alone and even have a little trouble with it getting stuck too. I have tried chewing it all up very fine before swallowing. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Can anyone offer some insight into this? Am I overly sensitive? I hate shakes and refuse to live on them. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide...

Hi, I too had significant hairloss that started about 6 months after my surgery. It was so bad that I could see my scalp in certain places and I was in panic mode. The doctor suggested I up my protein a little and make sure I was taking enough biotin along with my multi vitamin and calcium. After that I went to my hairdresser and she did a hot oil treatment once a month for 3 months. I am now back with a full head of hair :party:. Be patient and diligent. It will stop, it is just your bodies way of showing that it is shocked by your weight loss.

Sorry I haven't updated this in a while. I have a new boyfriend...so amazing that I'm dating again. Anyway, I am starting week 3 this week. Things are going good, but I still struggle with my shins hurting. Any suggestions guys?

Well everybody...I've been away too long. My family has been really sick this last weekend and I couldn't do anything without coughing up a lung. So now I am starting all over again. Week 1/Day 1 for me. Everybody is doing so good. Keep it up, we'll all get there, whether we finish the program or have to change it up (Dionnis) Just keep moving!!!

Once healed, I am now able to lie on my stomach in bed just fine...but if I try to lie down on the living room floor...ouch! I guess the bed gives enough, but the floor doesn't give one bit! Hope this helps!

Hey guys!!! Welcome to Week #1 AGAIN!!! LOL! I'll have to try out the podcast thing. I struggle with not wanting to watch the clock because it puts me in a mindset of wanting to stop early. But it I relax and can just run knowing that someone will tell me to stop...that would be nice. Thanks for the pointer!

Actually my second workout (last night) was going really great. I was about 13 minutes into it and my daughters swim coach came and grabbed me. My daughter was having an asthma attack. By the time we got her taken care of, my muscles and joints were tight and my heart rate was down. I couldn't stand the thought of starting over...so I let it go. I am looking forward to tomorrow though, I think I can really do this. Gloucester...just give it time, your body will adjust. How bout anyone else? I am thinking of repeating week #1 next week. I don't think I'm ready to move on. If your not ready to move on next week...lets just repeat week #1 together and those that are ready, keep up the great work!!!

Ok, what was the speed you were using? I stayed at 4 and went really slow. I know I should increase probably to 4.5 but I'm afraid I'll fall off the back...........LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I did it! I made it the full 20 min. Didn't know if I would sometimes, but I did. I did my first workout on the treadmill at the Y. I wonder if it would be harder or easier outside on the pavement (that doesn't move). Sometimes when I was jogging, I felt like I was going to fall over, just because the treadmill makes me feel a little dizzy. Any ideas guys?

Gloucester....Welcome! I'm scared too. I'm worried my bones will hurt, but surely losing almost 50lbs has to take some pressure off. Hopefully by us all being first timers, we can support and motivate each other to keep the committment strong. Good luck!

should we do any excercise on the off days? or is this just 3 days a week and thats all? also, are you doing any toning?

Grace, Thanks for all of your information. Laying it all out on the table is something I needed to hear. My doctor pushes Protein shakes. I am so sick of them I think I might open everyone and dump. The problem for me is that I feel sick when I eat meat. But I don't want to live on packaged modified foods. I want to live on whole foods. Maybe you can offer advice in this area. Should I just blend it all together :cursing: Keep offering your advice. There are more of us out here looking for no nonsense than you might think. Thanks for keeping it real! Jen
