Read on another site about bypass patients wearing medical alert jewellery post op-never thought about that! Anyone else heard of this?

I am trying to keep busy and not think about next week as when I do I panic! Took some before photos but haven't plucked up the courage to do measurements yet! I am looking for a protein supplement at the moment-any you recommend? It's weird to think that this time next week I will be having it done, it still doesn't feel real yet. Thinking about what I will need for when I get home-any suggestions? X

sorry I can't really answer your question but I feel for you-yesterday I felt AWFUL with the hunger pangs I thought i was going to go mad! BUT today is another day and thankfully a lot easier. Hope someone can help you find the answer x -

Hi,band was my original choice as I was petrified of bypass but don't want to have band and then need more ops later so took the plunge and went for the bypass. I am very nervous of the op and the pain afterwards but trying not to think too much about that and am taking things one day at a time. Nice to have others having their op on the same day, hope we can support each other x -

Well liquid diet going quite well today, the headache I had for three days has thankfully now gone and I haven't felt that hungry today,drinking loads of water and feeling quite good today! How are the rest of you getting on? -
