How long do stomach noises last?

7 months out and Milagro the Mexican Wonder Tummy still loves to make himself known, especially with certain foods. -

Foods that are a no nope not gonna happen!
KQH replied to Countrygrrl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
More than a bite or two of rice. Ow. None is better but I can nibble to taste test what I'm cooking for the rest of the family. Pasta and noodles are better but I avoid them too. -

I'm in Swell Hell, and other musings from recent plastics
KQH replied to MichiganChic's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I'm using future plastics as a motivator now that I've hit the blah phase of weight loss and this thread was fabulous! @@MichiganChic I'll be 50 or 51 when I have plastics done and we share pretty common pre-op stats so thanks for the inspiration! -

I grew more hair everywhere. I had to stop taking it - just as I began to lose my hair from the surgery! But it was that or look like a Yeti and I'm already furry from PCOS.

No problem at all swallowing Prozac here. -
Like Forsythia, I felt awake and rested post-op and did work, read, and walked. Since I stayed in Mexico an extra day at the request of my concerned husband (pre-trip planning), I was glad I had a lot to do!

Dr. Sergio Quinones vs Dr. Alejandro Lopez
KQH replied to verticallatitude's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Price wasn't a deciding factor for me and I still chose Dr. Quinones. I definitely could've paid more for an American-style hospital setting but that wasn't important, the surgeon was. -

Does everyone lose a noticeable amount of hair?
KQH replied to gaults's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm losing hair about the same rate as after I gave birth to my children 20+ years ago. I notice it, my stylist can kind of see it, and my husband sees extra hair in the bathroom but that's it. Biotin is a no-go for me thanks to the way it accelerated ALL hair growth (ick) so I'm just dealing with it. -

A little scared this has been pretty easy for me.
KQH replied to llmccay1's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I still feel like a bit of a freak when I read of people being further out than I am and only being able to eat a few bites at a sitting. My loss is great, my energy is through the roof, and I'm actually taking the stairs to the 3rd floor of my hotel rather than hitting the elevator because the stairs are right there. I would've NEVER done that before surgery! Just keep remembering this is YOUR journey and it'll be different than everyone else's. -

A little scared this has been pretty easy for me.
KQH replied to llmccay1's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
It was very easy for me until recently when my body smiled, said "that's enough, dear" and decided to hang onto every last ounce. That's okay, I know it's trying to keep itself (and me) from starving to death. I didn't get to hit Onederland before leaving for a conference this coming weekend which was a personal goal. It's tough, and I'm not happy, but I also wasn't willing to do anything crazy or risk injury before leaving as we'll be doing a lot of driving, sitting, and walking. When I get back though, LOOK OUT!
