Any 2016 Type 1s out there?

I'm T1 on an insulin pump and got sleeved about 2 years ago. Was good for about a year, lost quite a bit and had energy and then my fibro got really bad and stopped working out, started eating crap again so gained a bit back. Started a keto diet a couple of weeks ago and that's helping, but I've cut down on my insulin quite a bit but still taking glucophage. I guess the sleeve is still good bc it limits how much i can eat otherwise would have gained more back. When i went for surgery though had to get off the pump and they didn't know how to control my bs so i was a mess (went to TJ for my surgery).
  2. I've fallen off the bandwagon...mostly due to stress which caused my fibromylgia to flare up more so haven't been able to go to the gym. Went for yoga last week and was sore for 3 days Protein doesn't keep my full anymore...I've stopped drinking the shakes b/c they were filling but not anymore. Anyone post op a couple of years share their daily menu of food. I need to start counting calories again and fix myself, i know and please no judging....It's difficult for me to even get out of bed and go to work :*( was so good last year going to the gym a few times, and almost had gotten to my goal weight *sigh* any advice would be greatly appreciated. and I dont have a dietitian or nutritionst that i can go to bc i dont live in the US anymore...will be going there in the summer time, but for now, need to get back on track. thanks
  3. Help! so I've put on some weight and going back to Protein shakes and the basics that I was doing before but protein shakes don't keep me full! What do you guys add to it? I've been using Protein Powder, milk, handful of spinach, 4 frozen strawberries, and 1 tbsp of benefiber and I'm really hungry within 2 hours! usually I have cottage cheese with berries and a few walnuts, but wanted to go back to shakes because of more protein. Any suggestions?
  4. See a rheumatologist. I've had pain as well but blood work came back fine so it wasn't a Vitamin deficiency. Turned out to be muscle spasms and getting physical therapy.
  5. how much water do you all use and how much protein when you make fuzzy navel? i put a scoop in with my yogurt but want to try drinking it with water, don't want to waste it by experimenting either lol
  6. Any suggestions on how I can use this? It's disgusting when I mixed into food...made a shake and same thing

Genepro- 30 grams of protein/serving untrue?

I miss using GENEPRO, I ran out and don't have access to it here. I bought Quest unflavored and it's disgusting, so is Syntrax matrix unflavored. I'm going to repurchase when I head back to the states, it mixes easily in my food (esp cottage cheese), and couldn't taste it. If you are going to buy unflavored, stick to Genepro.

    Quest Protein Powder

I bought the unflavored/multi purpose one and it's disgusting. I haven't baked with it though. But tried to add to food, and had to throw it in the bin,

Things men say when told about WLS :)

How would you explain the scars? Mine are still quite dark and the ones from my gallbladder removal like 8 years ago are still there but aren't like dk purple/bruisey colored

    Type-1 diabetes

Hi Im Type 1 on a pump as well and I can tell you I'm still on my pump and still taking metformin. I stopped taking victoza. Sure, I'm taking less insulin but you can't get rid of T1 diabetes.
