I started pre operation diet at 520 on June 4th Operation June 18th at 480 and today at 425. total 95 pounds but I have a lot more weight to lose than most humans. I am very happy even though my weight loss is slowing down.

it gets better everyday. sounds like you are off to a great start

going on 4 weeks also so far so good

I seem to get pain in stomach when I lay down and use my CPAP. Feels like pressure in my stomach. Anyone else have problems with this?

I need help. Surgery on Wednesday June 18th late afternoon. No drinks nothing all day. Thursday thought the world was ending. Sick and everything made me want to get sick. smells, Water, medicine Friday ok day felt like a human Sat good except not knowing how long in between sips of water and sips of food. Is the 30 minute no drinking rule in effect for the liquid phase? Sunday good day except I think I had too much water in a short period of time. Not doing well on the Protein front. The smells of the Protein shakes have made me sick. I gulped them in the pre diet to get them down cant do that now. I am down a lot of weight and that is great but I don't know how I can make it to the next phase which with my Dr. is July 18th for pureed foods. Also have had bad pain in my right hamstring getting better but hurt real bad right after surgery. Oh yeah I am not very tired either. Thought I would be without protein and stuff. Thanks for any advice, Rodney

I am trying the flavor free Protein powder in my chicken noodle soup. got it down today. A lot of new things to get use to. thanks for all the advice

I have surgery on Wednesday June 18th. Lost 40 lbs on pre op diet. getting sick of protein shakes. Real nervous about surgery. All of this information was a great read and very helpful.

My Nut told me about this peanut butter powder called PB2. Way less calories and actually tastes good. The only after taste I have now is peanut butter taste. Not bad. I hate the shakes too.

Was looking forward to surgery and got a call from my Dr. Said they had team meeting and the anesthesiologist is worried about the success of my surgery. They think they might not be able to get tube down my throat and my heart may not take the anesthesia and I may wake up and find out they couldnt do the procedure. Now I dont know what to do. Dr wants to continue and thinks he can get me through. Any help or comments are appreciated.

never had trouble with my heart just couldnt do the tests they wanted me to do. no stress test because of weight.
