  1. Hi all, i am looking to get my surgery through 'beliteweight' in detorit, they have a couple of doctors, i believe that their main surgeon is Dr.Webber however. Anyways i was wondering if anyone has gotten their surgery through this group ?? any input on your expierences would be great too!!! ANd i am open for suggestions for doctors in the northeast who are well reputed and inexpensive(i have no insurance!) thanks for all of your help! Lauren
  2. Ok, ive been banded for like a month and a half. Today i woke up with reallllly bad head congestion, sore throat, the works. I want to take day quil so that i might be able to breath, buuuut everything ive dank has made a VERY rapid return apprearence. How the heck am i going to keep anything down today? I think its because of the really thick mucus in my head which is y i cant breath in the first place.... What should i do?????

    hey mark... can you give me some tips? i cant seem to keep weight off. Ive been banded since oct and ive been as low as 153, but im back up to 170! thats only 8 lbs down from what i was banded at!! Help!!

    Considering removal; have questions????

    I think that yall should get a relativly loose fill so you can eat normal foods, but less makes you full.... i would DEF try that before removal. you have nothing to stop you after removal!!!

    Help!!!

    i do eat complex carbs, it def helps curb my hunger... whole wheat bread and oatmeal are good.... theres no harm in having a 100 cal pack that might not be whole grain once a day... as long as its just ONE! Ive found that by allowing myself one treat a day vs. depriving myself keeps me on track for the long run. All i get with depervation is pent up cravings.. lol..

    im tight in the morning so i stick with a premade protien shake, or i blend up some fruit and yogurt and such for a smoothie..... ive also been known to have a glass of milk too

    haha yea i would have to agree with everyone here... i would love to be with someone that has a lap band... i would settle for a friend even! sheesh, the thought of having someone who actually knows the feelings that i feel would be fricken awsome!!!
  10. Becky i totally agree.... Water WATER WATER.... if that doesnt work i would suggest mixing up your caloric intake. not by much but spike it up 200-300 cals a day, maybe like 2 days of the week. Your body sounds like it caught onto you! The human body is a SMART thing, if your consistant it adjusts. Even if its 1000 cals a day (which any normal person would loose on) Now that your exercising it may need more cals to feel comfortable releasing the extra weight rather than going into its little 'self preservation mode'

    ok so. im blonde, ill just put that out there!! but im allowed to have fruit... right?? i really want to do this with you guys, im pretty sure i could do the vegan thing because i dont really eat dairy anyways, but ill start vegitarian. So that means i can eat anything that didnt have a heartbeat right??? did i mention i was blonde?? Lol

    Hair Extensions?

    i had them, my hair on the back of my head was braided, only two tracks, and then hair woven in. My hair was long to begin with so the extentions were a couple inches from my butt!! lol they looked great, but it took me FOREVER to do my hair, and i didnt realize that i wasnt supposed to wash my hair everyday with them, so my hair was always wet where the braid was... so they got ichy and REALLY annoying so i took them out after like uhh a week.. :welldoneclap: there goes 150 bucks!! LoL.. although i would do it again if my hair wasnt so long already, and i planned on doing it everyday, because i couldnt put it up that well...

    well my last fill was in Nov, but i just had an emergency unfill last sat because i couldnt get liquids down.... already made that phone call and got the bloodwork... no prego, but she thinks my body kinda forgot how to do it on its own... lol
  17. ive been doing great, had a couple set backs but i always pulled myself up and got going again. Well today i have been eating literally non-stop. I have NO idea what has gotten into me. I keep saying this is the last thing then i go back for more!!! i feel huge and bloated. i have no idea but i am WIDE open today. Eating stuff never thought i could. Ughhhhhhh im so upset with myself. I wanna cry.....

    ha... idk i recently went off the pill and i havent gotten my period since (that was October!!) so im hoping it should be coming. Right now im jsut really LARGE and so upset with myself. I cant believe it.............. i was doing so good....

    Am I too fat for a trainer?

    Hahah.. funny post... but NO WAY!!! I work at a gym and all of the trainers love helping out. You are NEVER too fat to lift a weight muscle burns more calories than fat, so even if you dont loose pounds but gain muslce your body will be burning more. Trainers know what their talking about, i think you would find it beneficial to try it out. Any hey, if you decide it isnt for you now, just wait and then purchase more sessions!

    I MUST flucuate Water, ill tell u what.. i ve been getting myself back on track and i stepped on the scale today and it said 170!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOLY SHIT!!!!! On monday i was 153 .. what the hell.. now i really AM crying. .

    get tighter when you get pissed off or aggervated. I have had such a day... and i cant seem to keep anything down. At one point i actually pb'd ona protien shake! Im attibuting it to my stress level and overall just being pissed off because yesterday i had a fairly 'open' day. I was just wondering if this happens to anyone else...
  22. Ok, so im wayyy confused. I was able to eat normal portions without a problem up until yesterday morning. I woke up and had a protien shake, which came back up. I had never had that happen before, i mean its liquid!. But i thought maybe i drank too fast or something. I later tried to have a couple sips of Water which gave me that horrible stuck or golf ball feeling in my chest. That didnt come up, but it felt like it wanted to. I went to bed and woke up 3 times in two hours choking on my own spit! So i sat up instead of laying and got a warm glass of water hoping to open myself a bit. And i threw that up, and continued to dry heave. After one or two episodes of that the pressure in my chest went away and i could sleep. I thought this was just an off day and it would get better. Welllll i woke up this morning feeling ooookayy and tried to have a glass of water. That came back up and i dry heaved again. So idk what the heck couldve happend from one day to another but i think im going to go the ER to see if they have a lap band doc on call that can come unfill me so i can get some hydration....... what do u guys think?? has this happened to anyone??? p.s~~~> sorry for the long post!

    Faith~ yea the doc told me to stay on liquids for at least 24hrs, but i stayed on until today! so thats 3... and yess foods are having NO problem... he took 2 or 3 ccs out of me so im WIDE open! Karri~ ill let u know whn i talk to him! = )

    Couch to 5K Anyone want to start with me ?

    First of all id like to give a 'way to go' to Mindy!! Secondly~ did the first workout today ( i started late) and idk if i will be killed for saying this but i thought it was easier than i had expected. When i herd 5k i thought WOW... but HEY! this might actually be doable = )
