gas x strips. they help with gas. read that on here. melt on your tongue so not swallowing anything. also there is a thread in the pre-op section that gives a list of what to take. i use it in my cream of wheat which adds even more protein. -
make sure you get the plain yogurt. the fruit and even vanilla have a lot of sugar in them. I bought the Smuckers sugar free preserved and put that in the yogurt. good flavor, little calories and no sugar.

I went on the site tonight to post exactly this same topic. I am 3 weeks from surgery and am wondering if I put all the effort into a "regular" diet that I am into getting vitamins, protein powder, etc, maybe I could do it myself. I hate that I have failed in the past. I am nervous, very very nervous. I did order vitamins and comfy clothes for post-op. For some reason, all the protein powder stuff freaks me out a bit. Not sure why. -

Hi, This is my first post. Surgery still a month away but trying to get as prepared as possible. My question is how do you get Protein during the clear liquid phase. My doctor wants me on clear liquid for 2 weeks. I purchased the Liquid Protein from his office and will do 2 a day which give me 30 grams of protein total. What else can I do? Thanks for any tips. SO nervous but great to read all the positive stories in the forum. -

thank you all for you responses. I didn't realize that I could use Protein powder during the clear liquid phase. I will definitely look at ordering a sample pack and see what I like. I know taste changes after surgery so don;t want to assume what I like now is what I will like then. Thank you!!!!
