I don't have a long one at this point except to say that this is the best decision I have ever made. I have been asked by several people (especially when I say "I can't eat that" or something), "Do you regret having the surgery?" My answer is always no. I am still on my way to my goal but I know that this weight loss is for a lifetime not just for a while.
The above is what I first wrote. I haven't changed my mind. I have had some complications due to severe reflux. My band was emptied last fall just a week or two after reaching my goal. After 4 months with no band, I had gained 40+ lbs. I had a refill and haven't gained but have only lost about 10 lbs back. I am once again having severe trouble with reflux or something. I wish I could figure this out because I don't want another unfill but I can't lie down at night so something has to change.
