The first week of post op would have been tough without my wife helping me out. The air in my stomach was the worst part. Make sure you do your best to get your shakes in and follow your docs steps. I can tell you it's one of the best decisions I have ever made. I had my surgery may of 2014 and was 309 pre op. It's been almost 6 months and I'm down to 190. I have had great results but that came with eating right, exercising daily, eating good protein, and all the other stuff recommended. Stay motivated and enjoy the journey. Great things are soon to come! -

Wow joe! Your list is very similar to mine. Not fitting in a roller coaster really bummed me out. I hated always feeling self conscious. Leaving my two kids without a dad is heartbreaking. I also love sports and miss playing soccer. I had my sleeve may 23rd of this year. I was 309 pounds. I weighed in today at 195. It feels amazing to see the scale start with a "1"!!! I'm taking my family to Disney this year and will be on every coaster:) thanks for sharing! -
May 23rd sleeve! Hit 195 today! 25 pounds from goal! Preop weight was 309. Feels awesome! Keep up the hard work and it's really possible!

Great job with the weight loss! It feels so good to have the weight coming off. My surgery date was May 23rd. I was around the 309 mark pre surgery and weighed in at 205 today. I hit exactly 100 pounds on my birthday in September. Down to a size 34 pants! That might be the most exciting part to me haha. Can't wait to see the scale start with a "1"!!!

Don't beat yourself up! It's a learning process. I had my surgery end of May. I was 309 pounds. Only a few months out and I'm 217 today. I made a few mistakes at first but then did my best to avoid what was bad for me. You can do it. Remember what is only a few months away. I have a much better sex life with my wife. all new clothing and confidence through the roof. It's worth it to stay strong! -
good advice! That does make me super nervous! (Getting dehydrated!) I seem to be able to take pretty big sips of water at one time without feeling pain so that's pretty good. Also when I eat I can do a spoonful at a time now. Are you able to do good size bites or very small ones? I finally lost another pound after staying the same for 3 days so that was encouraging. Also if we eat somthing we shouldn't does It get stuck in our sleeves or will it just be harder for the sleeve to process it and get it out? Thanks again for replying! It's great having support from people going through the same thing!

thanks for the reply. Every day is getting easier. My biggest issue know is knowing exactly how much to eat and when to eat it. Also getting enough fluid in. And I have been the same weight for like 2 or 3 days which is weird. Maybe I'm not pushing my metabolism enough? Let me know what you think...

I had the surgery a week ago. In down about 11 pounds. Not dealing with hunger as much as gas pressure. Pain has turned into discomfort. I'm sure by next week I'll be good. Good luck with your surgery! -
my doc was similar to yours. I was able to switch to soft foods week 2. I mostly have gas but it's not the end of the world. I had mine on the 23rd. I notice yogurt doesn't agree with me to well but milk is fine. Keep your head up!
-
I had mine done the same day! The gas pressure has gone down but today was though. Yogurt is not agreeing with me and I was able to walk about a mile today. How are you doing today?
-
what Have you been eating? How are you feeling now? I was sleeved on the 23rd.
-
i have felt that a bit today. (Day 6)
-
i was sleeved on the 23rd. Started eating soft foods today. Not feeling great. How are you guys doing?

Just had my sleeve may 23rd. Have been feeling really good. Lost about 11 pounds. Started eating soft foods today and think in regretting it. reading thing about rupturing and leaks makes me want to stick to the shakes a bit longer. I also keep making the mistake of drinking milk to fast as that was an old habit. Anyone else have their sleeve around my day? What have you tried so far and what are you feeling like? Thanks!
