Just got scheduled morning of October 14

Called cigna today approvwd. Now I am waiting on dr office to call me to schedule yeahhh

I met with Dr twice once before 3 month program and once after and dietician 3 times. Keep us posted. Excited for us all

I also had to complete the 3 month program for cigna. DaiDai

I called insurance as suggested. Thanks luvin_life125. 5 day response like you said. They said by the end of the day tomorrow 9/19. Not sure if I can wait for the dr to call with info lol. I am sure I will be approved since my bmi is 43 and I have several comorbidity

Can Protein shakes count towards you volume of daily required fluids? EXAMPLE. Bottle Water 16.9 and a 20 oz Protein shake equal 36.9 oz. I am worried about dehydration after surgery since I only drink about 3 bottles of water a day Thanks

I'm guessing mine has been submitted to cigna. I was in dr office 9/11 when we were about to schedule and did not have approval yet. 5 day response would be great. I was told 1-2 weeks. Hopefully both of us will hear soon. Just wished I had a date scheduled

Confused by the process. Met with surgeon 2 weeks ago. Went to the 1st of 3 required classes for insurance. No one has given me a pre op diet or an expected or suggested an amount of weight I have to lose before surgery. I think the class they started me in was a week 3 class. I have a 45 bmi and several comorbid conditions. Thinking I need to call someone but not sure if it's the surgeon or the 3 month program. Besides the class I just need my psych evaluation . They already have my dr consent form. Any suggestions. 2 nd class is on July 8

I am new to the group and this process. I have my first dr visit this week and my first nut appt next week. Right now I always have an atkins low carb shake for breakfast. Didnt know if this is something I should continue or if I should switch to something else that I will continue to have in the future. It's 160 calories and 15 protein. Appreciate suggestions

I had my 1st visit today. About 40 minutes. Went over medical history discussed cignia insurance qualifications. I see him again in sept after I do 3 month supervised weightliss program required by insurance at that time we will diacuss procedure and schedule pre op semimar to attend. I am guessing all first visits are a little diffetent. I was suprised he did not ask why I wanted the surgery. I guess he could tell with all my health issues

How long did it take for your doctor to send copies of medical records? I am waiting on this before they will schedule first appointment
