    No one in Nov?

I was scared too. This was my first surgery ever. I can remember laying there and looking at the wall praying...Lord am I doing the right thing. After that I woke up and felt really good. I have had the gas pains / air. I had to stay over night due to ins reasons. On Wed I was having really bad chest pains when I sipped anything. The Dr got me in and took some fluid out. I was surprised that the band had fluid in it. I always heard that it was put on empty. He explained that I got a newer band that already had some fluid. SO it had been MUCH better. My only problem is that while I sit here and read or watch tv...I think about FOOOOD. It sucks. I feel a little hungry even though I drink all my fluids. So that is where I am...it was the best thing I could have ever done. I know that awesome things are to come for all of us. I am on full liquids for 2 weeks...how do others handle this? I am...but I am reallly struggling.

    No one in Nov?

HI - I was banded on Monday the 12th. It has been a very interesting walk the first few days. Changing those internal habits will take some time. I find myself thinking about the foods that use to comfort me. It is a daily walk keeping the end insight. So when are you going to be banded?
  3. Your story moved me. I have been researching the band for almost a year. I have had my moments of doubt and worry. I have talked to my freinds and loved ones. I have also received mixed messages from them all. It hurts when those you love and care about don't share the same feelings you do. One thing I did was stand up for myself. I told them you are entitled to your thoughts...I am entitled to mine. Stand up for what you want. Being over weight is not fun. I use to lift weights in high school. When you stop doing that and got into the real world...everyone knows how to eat. It sucks...I talked to my Dr. and the most meaningful thing he told me. Kevin...it is not as simple as putting down the fork and working out more. Obesity is a disease and in some cases the only thing that can help in an operation. So I will leave you with those thoughts. It is all up to you. I know that you want to please your other half...however there comes a time when you have to be happy. I hope that all goes well for you. :rose:
