  1. I was losing so slowly after surgery (only 11 pounds in 6 weeks) and I thought I was doing everything right. On my follow-up appointment I asked the doctor about it. My problem is the carbs. I was staying away from sugar and obvious carbs like bread, Pasta, crackers, etc. but I didn't realize how many carbs were in the 0 fat milk I was adding to my Protein powder, the powder itself had carbs, the cheese, yogurt, cottage cheese. When I started adding it up I guess it was a lot of % compared to the amount of calories I was taking in. I only eat about 500-600 calories a day most days but getting all the protein and fluids. I just didn't get it. I changed the Protein Powder to MaxPro, stopped snacking at all, cut out the milk and carbs. I immediately lost 4 pounds within 2 days. I have a shake for Breakfast, eat protein only for lunch and dinner, and if I do get hungry or need a snack, I make a shake. If my protein for the day is low, I have a shake to make up the difference anyway. It's only been a week but I lost more in 4 days than I did in 4 weeks before.
