Hi, I'm a MidWestern Illinois farmwife. I'm the mother of 5 grown children and grandmother to 6 little ones. I will be having my first appt with my surgeon on June 13. My highest weight is 328, awful at 5'4". I now weigh in at 302 using MyFitnessPal and journaling EVERY thing I eat. I have to just fight the hunger every day to get this far in my weight loss. I'm not sure I will go ahead with the surgery yet, as my husband thinks it is way too drastic and dangerous AND he thinks I will just defeat it because (in his words) nothing gets in the way of me and food! So I am learning all I can and will talk to my surgeon Dr Sundberg at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington, IA. Did or does any one else have a doubtful spouse to contend with?
